Please, there were many on the right who were disdainful of Obama from the get go. I don't like the pettiness either, but at least Obama was an American and didn't sell our country out to a foreign adversary. |
That is bullshit. There a quite a few White students at Howard. My graduate school class was 25% White. They did not like them because they showed up on campus looking to start shit. |
To be fair, they are welcome to access a campus and wear MAGA hats. But it shows their stupidity and insensitivity to do so. |
Right. Now Howard has no go zones? Blacks only? Racists. |
What are you even talking about? |
If that's truly what they were looking for then they were pretty stupid, but more stupid were the ones that gave them the attention. It's only insensitive to those that lost, and who foolishly equate racism with Trump. Sadly that's what the left is running on now looking toward 2020. The guy isn't a racist. A narcissist yes, white supremacist no. |
If true then yes it's racist. |
It's true, tho

Apparently Howard must have one amazing cafeteria. Tourists pass over all the other restaurants in Washington DC for Howard university cafeteria, who is the chef there? |
You do realize HCBU's were created because every other university in the U.S. wouldn't admit blacks, right? Howard students are smart enough to know what #MAGA really means when my fellow whites hate it. The mistake these girls made is that they thought they were clever. |
No more than Obama hats. The problem is the people that are haters and losers who can't tolerate other people's opinions. It becomes: "what doesn't offend". If it's legal and they aren't hurting anyone let it go. I wouldn't do it, but my apple cart doesn't get tipped over. You have the far left and the far right which seem very similar. The rest of the middle are probably more grounded. |
Apparently some there aren't so smart. Please tell us what you think MAGA means? |
Well, I am not too sure about that. Google some of the discrimination lawsuits against him in NYC. But that is not even the issue here and and this to me is not about winning and losing or left and right. This was not an innocent gesture. It was irresponsible and mean spirited given that a woman was just killed marching against the White supremacy and the KKK and the POTUS fumbled his response. Too many of us have seen this type of intentional antagonism. No one can tell me that in this age of smart phones and Google at their fingertips, that these girls did not know what they were doing. They did what they did to piss people off and, unfortunately it worked. Now they want to claim to be victims. Do you remember when that young lady wore a Black Lives Matter shirt to a Trump rally during the campaign? They roughed her up and the first thing many people on DCUM said was that she intentionally antagonized them and what happened was expected. Same thing here. |
I am white. Totally white. Fair skinned (but dark haired - is that the difference?) middle aged Jewish guy. I have ridden through the HU campus on my bike, because, well, bike routes. Never been hassled. Never felt threatened. Sooner hang out there (relative to personal safety) than the streets of Paris. |
Have to work hard to keep that ranking at 124. |
