These girls are nincompoops. It sounds like their teachers are too - apparently they weren't even aware of what HBCUs are. (No shock, I guess, that a Trump supporter would also be unaware of HBCUs.) I don't know how they didn't encounter a single adult chaperone who didn't explain to them why they could not wear those hats at HU.

And I'm sure now their love for Herr Trump has just grown and grown and grown. He'll probably invite them to the White House now. G_d save us from all these idiots.

Oh please. These young women thought it was appropriate, a few days after Charlottesville, to show up to one of the most prominent HBCU's with Trump stuff on? They KNEW what they were doing and my only regret is that anyone even gave them the time of day. They wanted a reaction and they got one.

I would educate many of you on the unique role of HBCU's and why this was so insensitive, but I do not have the time and many of you do not give a damn anyways.

But that is not even the issue here and and this to me is not about winning and losing or left and right. This was not an innocent gesture. It was irresponsible and mean spirited given that a woman was just killed marching against the White supremacy and the KKK and the POTUS fumbled his response. Too many of us have seen this type of intentional antagonism. No one can tell me that in this age of smart phones and Google at their fingertips, that these girls did not know what they were doing. I am white. Totally white. Fair skinned (but dark haired - is that the difference?) middle aged Jewish guy. I have ridden through the HU campus on my bike, because, well, bike routes.
