When was the last time there was a liberal march for jobs, the economy, and national security - not as a side issue, but the main issue of the march.

Occupy Wall Street?

When did conservatives last march for those things? Not anytime in the last 30 years...

They didn't march, and neither did libs, so what's your point? Libs should be held to a different standard? We don't march about those because by and large we are in pretty good shape in those areas. We haven't had major terrorism issues and the hype around illegals far exceeds reality.

Well, republicans in general don't march or protest, we are much more about individual responsibility and action than collective complaining. Take a look at the list of protests and marches in DC:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rallies_and_protest_marches_in_Washington,_D.C.#2017

As you can see, liberals tend to protest and march about the issues that care deeply about. Therefore, it would be indicative that liberals care deeply about jobs, the economy, and national security if they also marched about those things with the same frequency with which they protest and march about immigration, LGBT, and etc...

That protest was about corporate influence, the banking industry, and income inequality; the US economy was a tangential issue, not the main one. Take a look at the summary from Wikipedia:

"The original protest was initiated by Kalle Lasn and Micah White of Adbusters, a Canadian anti-consumerist publication, who conceived of a September 17 occupation in Lower Manhattan. The first such proposal appeared on the Adbusters website on February 2, 2011, under the title "A Million Man March on Wall Street."[11] Lasn registered the OccupyWallStreet.org web address on June 9.[12] That same month, Adbusters emailed its subscribers saying “America needs its own Tahrir.” White said the reception of the idea "snowballed from there".[12][13] In a blog post on July 13, 2011,[14] Adbusters proposed a peaceful occupation of Wall Street to protest corporate influence on democracy, the lack of legal consequences for those who brought about the global crisis of monetary insolvency, and an increasing disparity in wealth.[13] The protest was promoted with an image featuring a dancer atop Wall Street's iconic Charging Bull statue."

Individual responsibility and action is a big part of what makes up collective responsibility and action, you act as though the two are somehow incompatible or contradictory. They aren't. That said, collective action and responsibility are tremendously more effective and successful than individual action and responsibility because of the force multiplier of having more people aligned for a common goal.

Actually, conservatives do march and rally, i.e. Tea Paert protests, March For Life, Westboro Baptists, Operation American Spring, Bikers For Trump et cetera... they just suck at it and can't manage to rally meaningful numbers.

If you can read Chinese:
https://www.zhihu.com/question/51331837

It might not be an easy task to define the term, for as a social media buzzword and very often an instrument for ad hominem attack, it could mean different things for different people. A thread on “why well-educated elites in the west are seen as naïve “white left” in China” on Zhihu, a question-and-answer website said to have a high percentage of active users who are professionals and intellectuals, might serve as a starting point.

The question has received more than 400 answers from Zhihu users, which include some of the most representative perceptions of the ‘white left’. Although the emphasis varies, baizuo is used generally to describe those who “only care about topics such as immigration, minorities, LGBT and the environment” and “have no sense of real problems in the real world”; they are hypocritical humanitarians who advocate for peace and equality only to “satisfy their own feeling of moral superiority”; they are “obsessed with political correctness” to the extent that they “tolerate backwards Islamic values for the sake of multiculturalism”; they believe in the welfare state that “benefits only the idle and the free riders”; they are the “ignorant and arrogant westerners” who “pity the rest of the world and think they are saviours”.

It's basically a term the Chinese use to trash people online.

Chinese here. What do you expect from a bunch of New Lefts who wanted Chairman Mao back? You are an idiot. If you like China so much, go live there and breath the fresh air.

Oh, forgot to mention: Chinese New Left = American ALT Right, in case you are confused. Both pine for dictators.

Nobody here wants Chairman Mao. And we want nothing like your corrupt authoritarian government back in mainland China. Thanks for proving the point about the Chinese being clueless about American politics and society.

They adopted a phrase "Obama" which means something that looks good, but is actually a zero. It might be used when buying a scratch lottery ticket - when you scratch it off, there's no prize - that's an Obama.

Of the Chinese I know, only the religious ones voted for Trump. Most voted for HRC.

She is an embarrassment to Asian Americans. Major in Psychology and Theater, minor in German?

As a fellow Terp, this makes me sad.

Why? She can't criticize the Xi regime? Who voted him as the emperor of China? You are an embarrassment to humanity.

What is so funny? Try to start any protest in China that is not sanctioned by the party, including anti-abortion, you will get crushed by tanks.
