That's a bit melodramatic. No one is saying they aren't attractive, but they are the exception rather than the rule. It goes both ways- no man in his 40s-50s looks good compared to a hot 25 year old guy.

Plus, look at everything they put into their appearance- diet, exercise, makeup, fashionable clothes, cosmetic surgery, photoshop. Take off the makeup and Instagram filters, let them slack off on their diet for a few months, and they would look like any other 40 year old woman.

I'm 34 and I still feel hot when I dress up. Shoes with some height (mine are comfortable clogs but give me an extra inch or two), tight jeans or leggings and an interesting top in a flattering color, add some color to my face and do my hair. And no I'm not blonde; I am Asian and don't even have highlights at the moment.

I think people are right when they say staying fit and having confidence is key. Many women close to my age look more like they are dressing to hide themselves rather than celebrate themselves.

But I am not looking to gain random male attention. I do it to feel good about myself. And I am also fine with being low key and blah most of the time as well - I don't like trying too hard.

-30y DH that has been working out for the past year. Went from 6' 165 to 180 lean/fit. Have never felt better!
