If you lived in Cali and there mountain lion sittings in your neighborhood (they sometimes come down from the mountains) you might think differently. They are beautiful creatures from a distance, but scary as fuck when closeby knowing what they are capable of.

I lived in "Cali" for over ten years. I am also aware that they sometimes come into populated areas. There were mountain lion sightings where I lived, but that didn't mean they were roaming in neighborhoods in packs. Sightings are not common. There have been very few fatal attacks - I'll post a citation if you insist.

If everyone who went hiking carried a gun, it would be terrible and stupid. There are strategies for dealing with wildlife that don't involve shooting. With mountain lions you make a lot of noise and waive your arms around, making yourself look bigger. Small children should be lifted and carried high, ideally on your shoulders.

I can't believe we are even having this conversation. If you're from the East Coast you are probably not used to the fact that there are more predators in the west.

x2. Lived in AZ for over ten years. Nearly walked up on rattlesnakes twice. Why? Because we lived in the desert and it was the time of year that they were active. No one carries a gun to deal with them, or coyotes or anything else. You learn to coexist.

They always seem so forced, so fake. Her overly white teeth add to that, but I've never thought theyhad any chemistry.

It's been reported she's dating Gary, the family contractor. He apparently witnessed the incident in May.

The El Moussas can do a face-off show with their new partners: Flip vs Flop

I don't like the Gaines at all. It has nothing to do with their religion. They just bug the shit out of me - I think they are as exciting as watching paint dry.

Welcome to adulthood. Most long lasting marriages are pretty boring and predictable. Those are the ones that last.

Tarek looks like John Travolta, just as weird and creepy looking. Bigger ears though.

This is actually a pretty good idea. Like that competition show the property brothers sometimes do, except it will be more entertaining bc the sh*t talking will be real.

If I was HGTV I might fund a season or two of that

HGTV has tried this already with Love it Or List it. And we all know how annoying and obviously scripted that show is.

That's fine and all, but boring doesn't make for interesting tv. Which is why I don't get people thinking they are awesome. They must be seeing something I just don't

What's weird is that HGTV is still bombarding us with those 'Tarek and Christina for the holidays' commercial where they act all lovey-dovey running around with their kids.

You obviously have never lived out west.

Yes, mountain lions especially are a very real concern in the wilderness out west. They will snatch and kill/eat a full sized child with zero effort. Tyey are fast and patient, will sit and wait for you until the best moment to get you arrives.

Have always thought this! It's the main reason I think he might be a weirdo (bad reason).
