I agree theres probably more to the story. I cant read the article because Im on my phone, but is it true she went to a restaurant to pixk up food? Why didnt she have it delivered? When I used to leave my kids that age alone for short periods they had strict instructions: stay in the house with the door locked. Do not let anyone know you are alone. Do not open the door to anyone.

And to the pp suggesting the stranger should have watched the kids himself if he was worried, get a life. Not his freakin' responsibility.

Seriously. Most grown men on their own are not going to take on the responsibility of watching kids they don't know whose parents are God knows where. For one, why? For two, next thing you know someone is accusing them of being a perv.

+1. Far better to be aware than to be someone who has a dog that routinely runs out of the house. I hope all of you people with escaping dogs don't complain when one gets hit by a car.

Also, please remember that back in the day when there was less helicoptering, kids learned early on not to let the dogs out in traffic or run in the road. The problem nowadays is that parents helicopter 90% of the time and then expect the kids to be able to figure it out when they throw them out on their own.

It depends on the breed. Huskies will always escape trained or not. The people who always let their dog off leash are another story. Those are despised people by dog owners too. The pp has a character that negligent dog owners have and that is why i said we do not need people like her owning dogs for the people who are like her reading this.... if you dont think of a dog as an extra kid you take care of dont own one!

Because nothing about expecting a parent to follow the law and not leave kids who can't handle it alone suggests WOMEN need to not work. It suggests that PARENTS need to LITERALLY be home with their kids if they aren't mature enough to be alone.

I feel so sorry for your kids. Sounds like you watch them like a hawk! Do they have to leave the door open while they're in the bathroom?
