I also can't wrap my head around why your in-laws were also calling to ask your DH to leave and tell him to come to the wedding during the birth of your child. You said your SIL hasn't spoken to you since, but what's your relationship like with DH's parents because their behavior seems odd, too.

DH's brother/groom is OP's brother-in-law

The bride, however, is the sister-in-law of OP's husband, but she is not the sister-in-law of OP.
