This is so so obvious. The police know it too.

That doesn't make any sense - why would an elderly woman be driving the missing girl's car, and (assuming that's even true) why would she leave it there?

This is why grammar matters. It was seen by an elderly woman being driven in. Not seen being driven in by an elderly woman.

Yeah, I guess I should've re-read it before posting, to make sure everyone could understand what I meant; though I figured the sentence after it would clear up any confusion. However, if we're being grammar Nazis- your sentence doesn't really work well, either. Makes it sound like someone is driving the elderly woman in.

Basically, what happened was the old lady saw the uniquely styled car while driving her own car into the park. She said something about it, and was told to contact VSP to give them the info. However, if her soon to be ex husband works for them.. well who knows what could happen with this case.

Also, to the people who couldn't see him doing such a thing- there have been serial killers with such charm and charisma, that friends and relatives were shocked upon finding out what they had done. You just never really know people anymore.

If she's missing in a national park, shouldn't Park Police or some other federal LEOs be in charge instead of VSP?

Not the PP quoted, but no--I think the elderly woman SAW the car being driven into the park. Not that an elderly woman was driving it.

Too much passive voice causes confusion, lol.

I don't think she started it neccessarily. Just think it's somehow related.

I thought this too! Also, after seeing how her honorable coworkers discussed her on the other forum I hope if
she's pulled a gone girl she remembers how kind they were. But seriously, the people on that site are sick! I couldn't believe
people were talking about women like that on a public forum. What a nightmare for her and the other women.

I read the thread about the other woman and was disgusted. Surely some of that reaches the level of libel/slander? It was disgusting nonetheless. I've lost all respect for Fairfax firefighters who treat their own like that.

I'm late to this thread. What was written on Fairfax Underground?

I believe there's a 30 mile distance to where her car was found and where the fires are.

I was too. You can google her name and fairfax underground. It's the first thing to pop up I think. I feel terrible for this woman. There is ugly gossip
about the missing woman and other women who work with these gentlemen.

The posters on FU make firehouses sound like absolute dens of misogyny. Really eye opening.

Whatever gossip is flying on FU, the relevant Q.s here are:

-did she actually have an affair?

-are authorities in contact with her extra-marital lover(s)?

-where were they (and where was her husband) during the time she disappeared? (ie do they have an alibi?).

The fire in now in the park. I hope it is unrelated.

Huh? The fire has been in the park. Where have you been?

Who drives two hours away from home to go run in a National Park during a weekday alone? I think her car is a diversion. She also called in sick last week and that was the last time anyone saw her. Weird.

Police have cracked her cell phone!!!!

WTOP just reported it.

Police are NOT saying how they hacked in, or who might have helped them (the Israelis again maybe?).

Only that they have all her smartphone data now.

Not just sounds like, it's true, they are.

If I told you half of what went on at many firehouses you wouldn't believe it.

One example

Years ago we lived in a little liberal enclave. The main fire station was near our home. Night after night you could see women there. Hanging out, eating. Then one day the Fire Chief decided to take a walk at the cute little park that sat across the street. 2 hours later he was found dead with his pants down. He had a heart attack while having sex in the park with a woman that was not his wife. His 5 kids were in shock also.

Then came the shakedown. The other heroes were paying for hookers to visit, taping them having sex with everyone and using fire money to pay for it.

All were fired, Captain's wife and kids got the insurance money and moved away. Bigger cities bigger the nastiness.
