OMG....I just watched the latest episode and it was AMAZING!

This show is SO smart and such a wild ride. I love it!

I loved when Chuck had his face covered and you couldn't tell if he was crying or laughing.

On the last episode, spoilers.

Doesn't chuck have two problems. His dad invested his entire trust fund. Not just 8 million. And his wife invested in the short. Isn't he going to be stuck on the sidelines now with the new US attorney taking down his wife? And he is broke himself.

Did Wendy invest in the short because she knew what chuck was doing? Setting up axe.

Why did Bobby care about her investment?

I think the presumption is that the stock will shoot back to where it was prior to the manufactured bacteria scare.

I think Wendy invested because she assumed Axe had it wired like he always did and that her husband was in way over his head. She will be dragged down with Axe because of Chuck. Axe cared about Wendy's investment because he want's to control (or at the very least know about) everything that goes on in his shop.

I really wanted Chuck and his grotesque father to lose but oh well.

No I think its more simple than that. Axe ruined Chuck with this play, but if Wendy gains from itthen Chuck is not entirely ruined - he will see the financial gain she sees in the transaction. Simple.

No, if chuck goes after axe then all gains from the short are I'll-gotten and will be forfeited.

I thought Wendy invested in the short in a moment of pique. Another possibility is she wanted to protect what she expected her kids to inherit.

And yet another possibility is that she wanted to foil Chuck's ability to go after Axe. Not just to protect Axe but as a punishment for Chuck for being so careless when she made a personal sacrifice to save his career. He's been drunk on hubris ever since.

What I love about this show is that all these high stakes actions are set in motion and then get derailed in tiny, tiny moments of unchecked anger. I keep telling my husband that Lara's going to be Axe's downfall.

What I love about this show is

The question was not "what is the outcome of all this?" but "why was Axe mad about Wendy getting in on the action?" in which case, my answer holds as Axe was not savvy to the fact he was being played.

Different poster, but I agree he was clueless about Chuck's play. He's been distracted and acting mostly on negative emotion.

But I think the same thing is going to happen to Chuck.

My observations- Axe has no idea Chuck was behind this because Chuck was smart enough to use a con guy to con a con artist! Between Lara and Ice Juice he will lose his mojo and the company will suffer. Lara is totally unhinged with the whole Wendy re-hire. Her reaction to it was out of control.

I think that Chuck was totally okay blowing his own Trust because its not about the money, its about finally getting Axe. I do think that had Wendy told him that she too had invested he would have called off the whole thing.

Taylor - I love that character! she/it/they/them is very complex and obviously torn between two worlds. One where she can have anything she wants and one where its evil to have all those things she really wants. So which one will she be true to? I also think that she is going to replace Wags - not on the show but will knock him out of that powerful position he has at Axe Cap. Wags is already a hot mess, can't control himself. Taylor is way smarter and more calculated than he is.

Axe felt so strongly that he needed Wendy that he lied to his wife about it. Which means that he knew full well how she'd feel about it, but the need for Wendy was greater than his wife's wishes or maintaining her trust. That's a pretty big deal in a marriage.

I can't see Taylor taking Wags' place because she's/he's/they're just not ruthless enough. Might get there, but it can't replace the trust Axe has with Wags
