Racists hate Julian Castro and HUD

Emoji guy can’t seem to defend his racist beliefs.

Apparently not everyone thinks I'm not a racist.

Or they're just making the accusation to divert from their own racism.

The poster who said "Emoji guy can't seem to defend your racist beliefs" is mocking you, and being snarky about how ridiculous you come across. People can say things they do not mean literally, as the rest of us learned in kindergarten.

Neither would 99% of the posters who you've called racist. The only logical reason for you to call most of the people racist, that you have called racist, racist, is them disagreeing with Castro.

Of course.

I have done so repeatedly on this thread.

1. Refer to him as "Julianito" which is a dog whistle racist taunt akin to calling a grown black man "boy." These are the racists.

2. Are completely ignorant or lie about any accomplishment of Julian Castro. If they don't know about it or deny it, then they think their statements that he is unaccomplished are true or somehow justified. These are the ignorants and liars.

I only read the post.

I don't divine the posters' intent.

Within weeks, he was at HUD calling in new staff and holdovers, asking them for their vision for the year ahead. If they started rattling off about policy, he’d wave them off....When detailed policy questions about housing and mortgage financing came up, those people said, he’d freeze up. He seems genuinely interested in helping people, they’d say, but not interested enough in HUD policy to want to engage deeply.

Would be a terrible VP. What was O thinking, even offering him DHS? Ridiculous.

Castro turned down the first two jobs he considered for the Obama administration.

He said no to Homeland Security before anyone ever offered it, after a Democratic operative with White House ties reached out to gauge his interest in taking over for Janet Napolitano. No way, Castro and his tight circle of advisers decided. The concern wasn’t that he had no national security or law enforcement experience, but, according to people familiar with the conversations at the time, because: what if there was an attack on his watch? That would have ended the political career he’d started with a fundraiser with his twin brother among his Harvard Law classmates before they graduated.

Complete empty suit - I would be embarrassed as a D if he was on the ticket.

I read this political piece. It makes Castro seem like a totally craven, self-promoting lightweight. He's actually taking Spanish lessons, hoping that they enhance his chances of being chosen as the VP nominee. Whereas his predecessor at HUD (Donovan) liked to get into the meet of housing issues, Castro insists on 1-page briefing memos and is considered a superficial figurehead at the department. The most jarring part of the article was that Hillary's advisors, noting that if elected she would be the second oldest president to take office, are terrified of the thought of a President Castro.

THis is what you get when you have 1200-1250 sat scoring people go to stanford - I would love to see his lsat score. there is zero chance he scored higher than 150 - 155 tops.

Affirmative Action baby par excellence.

It puts 'young latinos' in bad light because the article says they go nuts over him. Going nuts over an empty suit? Have some standards young latinos.

OP -- comments like yours give democrats a bad name. Don't make blanket statements. There are racists in both parties. And Julian Castro is a terrible VP pick. Completely unqualified. I hope HRC is more discerning in her selection, should she get the nomination.

Meet or meat, Julian Castro brings to mind Walter Mondale's famous debate rejoinder, "Where's the beef?!"

How do you ask that in Spanish? Oh wait, Julian hasn't gotten to that language lesson yet.
