Exactly what I thought. Not sure why people find it necessary to make a big deal about everything instead of just calling the school directly and waiting for a response. We live in Northern Virginia, I think FCPS is pretty tolerant and accommodating to different religions when making schedules. Mistakes happen, no need to call people intolerant, etc. before you figure out if there was an error.

OP here, I was pretty sure it was an oversight, but it get frustrating to constantly have to be hyper-vigilent for such conflicts. It is not hard to check a calendar before scheduling an event. Almost every year, there is something. Sometimes, it is rescheduled, sometimes it isn't.

I have run into this in college, professional, and social. I was pleasantly surprised by the response I got from the school -- not just the actions, but the tone.

Glad to hear this.

Not in my (Jewish) house.

Sometimes in my (Jewish) house he delivers them on Hanukkah

No Hanukkah Harry??

Never heard of him!

It's an old Saturday Night Live skit.

Ah. I only watch SNL around election time. Maybe I should change that.
