His sword is Valyrian Steel. There are only a few Valyrian steel swords left in the world, since none have been made since the Doom of Valyria (and nobody knows how to make it anymore.) It's harder and sharper than normal steel and is rumored to have been forged with magic spells. I don't think anyone knew that Valyrian Steel could kill a white walker until Jon actually did it. The heroes of the book are: Bran, Jon Snow, Dany and Tyrion. So they will all come together in the end. Bran running the world from his tree, Dany on the throne, Tyrion her advisor, and Jon Snow reborn as a noble, or an animal. Sansa Stark back married to Tyrion. Jon Snow dies in the book?

First of all, what God asked of Abraham was a means test of his faith. Not a literal homicide of his child. And do you really think the Lord of Light did the asking? Seemed to me it was Melisandre giving the orders.

Also, Stannis is doing all this for power and glory. Presumably Abraham had humbler motives? Ahhh, the theology of GoT…

Yes. It's hard bc in the books he doesn't seem so intent on power and glory, but rather doing what is just/right, so I still want to see him that way.

I miss Bran. That final scene in last season's finale was so badass. I am just dying to see what happens next!

Staniss's wife now has an excuse for revenge and I wouldn't be surprised if the witch craft lady or Stannis die.

In fact, a lot of the GoT women have vendettas - Arya, Sensa, Margret, come to mind.
