Certain types are all about the false martyr, it is how they survive.

Zimmerman voted for Obama which proves he really is stupid.

Dunno. The stalker appears to have a weird habit of not only calling 911 on himself every time he encounters Zimmerman while stalking, he also goes into the nearest business to use their phone to call 911 on himself.

It is almost as if the stalker is mentally disturbed.

Puhlease. We have all seen one of these. If you are lucky, it's not in your own neighborhood. Antagonists alway get caught, in the end. I have seen it. It seems Zimmerman is the one always getting himself into trouble. Maybe he does not charade the antics that some more seasoned mentally disturbed people have, but Zimmerman has serious problems. I would say it is well known at this point. Zimmerman is not "putting on the crazy" - he is crazy. Just because someone is the one to call the police, does not mean they are not the aggressor. Police know this well.

Apperson appears to be hunting Zimmerman. He leaves his cell phone at home intentionally so that his location cannot be tracked while he is "hunting."

Yeah totally, I bet Obama even mailed him an Obamaphone personally and signed him up for free healthcare!

Conservatives like myself (as you put it) are not defending Zimmerman as a person. The forensics are the forensics, and while Zimmerman chose to follow Martin (something I don't condone), it was Martin who jumped Zimmerman and started beating his head into a curb. At that point, Zimmerman used his weapon. That is when it became self-defense, and not murder.

Those are simply the facts of the case.

My feeling is if Zimmerman is the person 'liberals' say he is, then he will land HIMSELF back in jail. OJ certainly did.
Notice how hard he's been trying to land himself in jail? He's just been lucky that the women in his life haven't wanted to press charges.

I don't know what happened between Martin and Zimmerman and in the end who was the most aggressive at the point at which Zimmerman shot Martin. But we have plenty of evidence that Zimmerman doesn't know how to keep from escalating a fight to the point where it becomes violent. I haven't read the details about his relationship with the guy who shot him (or *at* him as the case may be) but it would not surprise me at all if Zimmerman hadn't escalated the conflict to the point where a nutter thinks it's okay to shoot at him.

Grown ups know how to defuse a potentially violent situation. George Zimmerman is not a grown up and has failed to learn from his mistakes. I have no sympathy for him.

And we also discover that some are STILL not aware of the forensic evidence in the trial, which most certainly helped acquit Zimmerman.

Aces.

WTH did Zimmerman expect? He needs to stop playing the part of neighborhood martyr because clearly it is not working for him.

Unfortunately it WAS ok for Zimmerman to shoot Martin under the circumstances. self defense. Nothing you said changes that
Uh, did you actually read what I wrote? I didn't say whether it was okay for Zimmerman to shoot Martin. I said that Zimmerman does not know how to prevent a situation from becoming volatile -- something that the vast majority of adults know how to do. And in fact we know from other accounts of Zimmerman that he in fact escalates conflicts towards violence in ways that a mature person could easily avoid. I don't know what happened with Martin but Zimmerman has a clear track record in other incidents of making a bad situation much much worse. Maybe it was all Martin's fault in this particular incidence, I don't know (and for the record, you don't know either) -- but forgive me if I continue to be skeptical that Zimmerman is completely an innocent victim here. He has a lot of growing up to do and he is running out of time.

It's clear that Zimmerman is being stalked by a killer; even contributors to Jeff Steele's DCUM board are calling for Zimmerman's extrajudicial murder (nice one Jeff!).

But I do think Zimmerman should move out of state and legally change his name.

No kidding. Zimmerman needs some serious boundaries. He just doesn't know when to say when, he is obsessive; and that, for certain, will be his downfall, in a huge way. I would bet good money on that.

I read this, and it seems that Apperson saw Zimmerman with a gun and therefore Apperson needed to shoot Zimmerman in self-defense before Zimmerman shot him.

In the same manner that Zimmerman needed to shoot Martin before Martin bashed his head in.

This is going to get interesting.

PP here. This is what I read. Do you think any lawyer will go near Zimmerman, at this point?

I saw Zimmerman's lawyer on TV today. Why wouldn't a lawyer love him? He's a fucking gold mine.

I think he should do what Ariel Castro did.
