For example, I bought a house in December right in Minneapolis within walking distance to the Uptown area (basically the Dupont Circle/Adams Morgan area of Minneapolis) for $320K. 2300 sq ft. 3 bed/2 baths, finished basement, 2 car garage. This is a couple of blocks away from the THE bar/restaurant nightlife area of the city.

Young married couples have no problem buying a very nice single-family house together even in the close-in suburbs.

yeah but how are the schools? Isn't Southwest the only HS in Minneapolis folks send their kids to?

Why the heck would anyone need 4 garages?

Uh, because you're u have 3-4 cars. Not sure why this is hard to understand. People do have multiple cars. Even her in DC

+- I'm from AZ And the majority of new homes have no less than a two car garage and most have three and sometimes four. Of fcourse your cars go in there in addition to workbenches, power tools, gardening tools, bikes, ATV's, sports equipment, cleaning supplies.... the list goes on and on. I truly do not understand the ignorant and negative attitude towards garages in this area.

It's because housing is expensive and space is a premium so people condition themselves to hate what they cannot have.

If you are Asian or of foreign decent and are looking for your trophy blonde wife, Minnesota is the place to go.

Moved here last year, Did you try Excelsior or Wayzata? Two growing hip places, excellent public schools. Immersion public schools. Who would have known. Love it here.

We have a 2 car garage and could easily use double the space. By the time we park both cars (and have comfortable clearance on both sides of the family car for getting kids in and out of car seats, especially since we don't have a mini-van with sliding doors), we could use a ton more space to house all the trash cans and kids' wagons, bikes, etc. Plus my husband is a big lawn/gardener type and has all the usual lawn stuff plus tons of extra tools. He keeps it all pretty organized but there's still now way we can fit it all in our 2-car garage. I've learned to really prioritize garage space for our family.

We lived in MN and loved it, although we were in a beautiful 1920's house. If we could find jobs there in our fields, we would love to move back.

I might have grown up in DC, but luckily I've had the opportunity to travel. You are very ignorant. Minnesota is a beautiful state And is pristine.

You really should get out more. You embarrass yourself.

-1. Why Minnesota? Why not Michigan,... Or the Phillipines. It is beautiful, pristine and even cheaper than Minnesota and Michigan and whatever other flyover state.

Check out what you can get for 1/2 mil in Cleveland, Los Vegas, Houston, etc. but you have to live there.

Lol! True. Move and live there if you think it is so great.

How come is Texas being used as a success case of anything? Economic growth? When you're the 30th state in income per capita the only way is up... To those saying that Republicans breed jobs (a effin myth) out of the top 20 states by income per capita 17 are democrat. The exceptions are Alaska, Wyoming and North Dakota. Having no people and lots of oil helps...
