NP here. I've talked with all the Buffy and Angel actors because I frequent media conventions and I'm a geek. ![]() |
I didn't actually "meet" her, but she was in front of me buying a CD at a record store many, many years ago. I can't remember if she was paying with a check or credit card, but the clerk asked to see her photo ID and she freaked the f out and started screaming, "don't you know who I am?". I didn't exactly want to meet her at that point...I felt so bad for the clerk, she was so insanely rude and spoiled. |
no, lol, I wish I was an extra on Buffy! I met them at horror conventions. I met Anthony Head in a goth club in Baltimore - we were both there to see a band play - it was the band of one of the actors who played one of the nerds in the troika...but it's been so long I can't remember which one it was or the name of his band. He sat by me and bought me a beer and was gorgeous in person and not anything like his Giles character. He was wearing a leather jacket and had earrings and seemed much younger. He was super nice and seemed really down to earth. I was also a "merch girl" for a band on some tours, so have met a lot of band members and are friends with a lot of them. My good friend dated Lars Frederickson from Rancid for a while off and on. Oh, I forgot, I also met Bruce Campbell, but he was not very nice. |
Of course, "it counts" if you knew them in HS before they were famous.... |
Your story is better than being an extra. Too bad about Bruce. |
You've never heard of the band "Green Day??" Or the actors Cuba Gooding, Jr. or Bill Murray? Do you even remember Debbie Gibson....?? You must be two. Come back on here in sixteen years young one. ![]() |
I met Tony Hawk at a meet and greet here in San Diego (Carlsbad) where he is from.
He seemed pleasant enough. Unfortunately I was too tongue-tied to say anything so this might not count. I live in San Diego and Kim Kardashian's Grandmother "MJ" resides here and has a children's clothing store here in La Jolla. I work in a juice station close by and she comes in every now and then, she is friendly and I want to ask her for a pic or an autograph, but my boss says we are not allowed. I walk by her store, but am afraid to go inside. I don't know why. I live across the street from Clairemont High School where Kris Jenner and Kendra Wilkerson graduated. It's also the school that the movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" was based off of. If anyone cares. |
Oh, this reminds me, I shared an elevator with Rudy Giuliani. It was a teeny tiny elevator in a boutique hotel, and he had two bodyguards with him, so we were all practically touching. I couldn't really interact with him because of the bodyguards, so I stood there with a crazed I-know-who-you-are look on my face. His bodyguards watched me the whole time. |
I met Robert Duvall at the restaurant he owns out in The Plains, VA once. He was there with someone, spoke to him for 20 seconds, he was very nice and that was the end of it.

Was a good friend with Christopher Meloni (law and order SVU) in 9th grade. Got in a fight with Henry Rollins (Black Flag)in 10th grade. Hung in a group with Darren Star (creator of Beverly Hills 20210, Melrose Place, Sex in the City) in 11th and 12th grade. |
Met President Clinton in Hawaii. Super nice! He actually stopped and talked to me.
Hung out with Tom Selleck twice in Hawaii. He is better looking in real life than on screen. He's very down to earth and easy to talk with. Sinbad bought me a chocolate chip muffin at 2am in an airport in Dallas. I was exhausted and traveling alone with an infant. My flight had been delayed. He was so sweet! Met Shep Smith when he gave the commencement speech at an Ole Miss graduation. I was working with the photographer. Shep hung out with us backstage before the ceremony. He's very tall. And so very good looking! I had seen him plenty of times because he has a condo in Oxford and we lived just a few miles away. But I had never actually had the chance to talk with him until the graduation. |
Our niece lives in a large apartment building. On Halloween, Eli Manning came to their door with his two children trick-or-treating. They live in the same building so it's not some kind of an unuasual sighting. But, with at said she engaged his about their costumes. Gave them a treat and the Manning family went on their way.
Halloween is about kids and their costumes. I'm proud of my niece for recognizing that fact and for doing her part to let the Manning family have a nice family centered night of trick-or-treating. Also, to her credit she is a highly trained and effective elementary school teacher. |
I remember you from the last one of these threads. Cool celebrity interactions. ![]() |
I am the PP who met Shep Smith. I totally forgot about the Mannings! We've known that family forever. They are wonderful people! |
My mother met Michael Jackson in a small used bookstore in DC. I think the only people in the store were her, him and his body guards. She asked for his autograph, which she gave to me. |
