Calling Alums of Non-Prestigious Colleges

When I was 40, I had three people I love die within 3 months. All the trivial things you think are important just fall away. Don't waste your time trying to please other people. Just live your best life for you and the people you love the most. It is a no win situation trying to measure up to everyone on the planet. There is no right college, job, city, house, car, school district, etc. Your college is a fine school that will get you where you need to go.

My kid works on Wall Street. Said that some come from scruffy street smart places and others elite places. In the final sum, they're all doing the same job and can all be successful. Key is getting the foot in the door. It's easier to do with a fancy degree, but not impossible from less prestigious institutions. There's a front door and a back door, but once you're in...you're in.

Depends. Investment bankers went to Wharton and Harvard; traders could have gone to community college. The traders make more money, but only if they are good at their jobs. And, of course, if they aren't, the rest of us will bail them out.
