How often do you give your kids- Oscar Meyer Lunchables?

It's fun to read the original post then skip straight to page 7 for the outrage, drama and other craziness.

I think something is off with you, if you think that *doesn't* look gross.

what's off with me is i don't live in DCUM world like you do.

Which mean, what? That you live in Haymarket or Ashburn, and regularly feed your kids processed crap loaded with sugar?

LOL - I bet that you'd find higher %-tage of school children in DCUM land eating Lunchables regularly than Haymarket or Ashburn. Who do you think they're marketing too?

I don't give them to my daughter more than 3 times a day. No, just kidding. She brings them to Girl Scout (once annually) camp for snacks.

I send one every few weeks. Now I feel terrible

Once in a great while. Maybe 1-2x a year.

Half the time the kids won't even eat them (except for the crackers and cookies. Maybe the cheese).

Sometimes I'll pack lunches that resemble them - crackers, cheese, lunchmeat, etc. That's healthier and the kids will actually eat it.

Don't let the DCUM crazies win! Stay strong!

What are those? Is it deli meat? Like bologna? Turkey slices? Or those lunches that come in a package - the whole mini meal for kids?

Ugh, DS just asked for one of these for lunch tomorrow. He's had them maybe twice.

I gave into my kids and started buying them and now my kids can't stand them. So, don't resist. They'll end up hating them eventually. Plus, they are full of sodium and artificial ingredients.

I but them for my kids every now and then.

Anonymous wrote:Never, and I totally judge the mom who sends them for her 3 yo kid for Lunch Bunch every week. I try not to be judgy about other people's food choices, but Lunchables are such shit that their very existence enrages me. I hate that these are marketed to busy parents as a healthy lunch for their kids.

You make the mistake in thinking that your judging the other mom makes any difference to anyone but you. You are probably not even on her radar of importance, so all your bitter bile is doing is making you more sour and adding to the wrinkles on your face. Why do people like you think that your being bitchy and judgmental matters to anyone but you? And your poor unfortunate family who has to put up with your pissy attitude?

never, but my K kid eats lots of other crap (Cheetos, "fruit" snacks, and I swear he's addicted to Berger Cookies). We all draw our own lines...
