Horrifying day as a parent

I think 21:25 is a fake. Must be the OP.

It's demeaning to everyone involved, people who took the time to reply in honest and sincere ways, and to anyone who experienced an injury with their child. I swear, I just don't understand where the "I'm going to delete off topic religious posts" and then this is allowed to stand? WTH Jeff?

This is allowed to stand so that everyone who participated in it and may be concerned about the OP's injured daughter can see that their concern is no longer needed. Would you prefer a bunch of threads asking what happened to this one?

Oh, Jeff... you know us so well!

I think this post should be left as a permanent reminder of the danger of monkey bars, sock-puppeteers, nosy neighbors, wine, etc.

Making up a dozen posts over an approximately 6-hour period. On a saturday night. Huh.

Maybe the title could be edited to reflect that it's a hoax?

If you know it's a hoax, you're not going to have the experience of missing cues in the fake posts, then, once you get to the "this is fake" posts, realizing you missed those cues. You'll probably be just as likely to be fooled by future fake posts as you are now. Leaving the thread "as is" is actually more helpful.

The lesson here to fake posters is use multiple sources to post- home computer, work computer, cell phone, ipad, etc...

Don't you think it's already a sad state of affairs when someone devotes a major part of their day to drafting fake posts? If someone really goes to the kind of trouble you suggest, they must be seriously demented. Plus regardless of the number of devices you use, they all leave tracks. You may or may not be aware of all those tracks, but I certainly am. You could get away with it for a while, but eventually I'll catch you. Sock puppets need to understand, it is seriously boring to read post after post about people's children. Trying to catch sock puppets is much more interesting.

And I know it could happen, or maybe it has, but what are the odds that someone would spot their neighbor out on here? I was also the one who said it was creepy that the neighbor was on the laptop, posting from her computer. I was also the one who said why would she be on DCUM when her child was in the hospital. I already know I am a bitch, but only when someone deserves it. Fake post... it was needed.

FWIW, I felt the same way as you did. Also suspected it was fake b/c Foundry's Park doesn't have monkey bars...

Yes it is extremely sad. I came back on here this morning to see if there was an update from OP as I didn't suspect the post was fake.

Clearly my first post was a joke and I'm sure other posters thought the same thing. But I got called out by the site admin ouch!

I don't get it-I totally believe it is fake but why? Usually a fake post has some very obvious hook that is supposed to start an argument. Where is that here? The older pushing evil kid on the playground? What's the motive here? Really weird.

It is pathetic really.

funny thread. About the monkey bars, I have seen some 3 year old girls climb the monkey bars (the short ones), and I really don't think you could break a bone or hurt your head because they are over mulch or grass and only 4-5 feet off the ground. Has anyone ever really gotten hurt from falling off the small monkey bars?

Why would someone make up a story involving a child getting injured? That's really weird and kind of sick.
