How come no one is talking about Artemis II mission?

Some of you are such Debbie downers. I think this is a cool and inspiring event with all the negativity out there today. The astronauts are role models and young people should be paying more attention to people like this than vapid celebrities and influencers.

I totally agree. I also wish the people who don't care about it would at least go away and not yuck my yum. I've discussed it at two different parties in the last week and there was exactly one person at each who was like "I HATE IT, WHO CARES, SHUT UP ABOU IT." Everyone else was either excited, mildly interested, or neutral.

I don't understand the aggression or anger some people seem to have about it. I'm normally a very cynical person and I think this is so cool.

Such an amazing example of teamwork, the truth of science, patience, and determination. Not just on the part of the astronauts but the thousands of people who made it happen.

They could be but they won't be. They were hobbling off the helicopters getting back to gravity. They also have a lot of debriefing and checkups to do. Maybe Walmart or the bar by Monday or Tuesday hehe.

It’s a pity that OP didn’t simply start a positive, informative thread about Artemis II. Because OP kicked it off in such a “I am better than you—why don’t you talk about the things I want to talk about” way, this thread has been combative, where it could have just been a celebration and discussion by people who wanted to join in.

Tbh, I think it was more amazing to land on the moon in 1969 prior to computers (as we know them today) and only using slide rulers, paper & pencil, etc to calculate the thousands of data points needed to not only launch a space ship, but people on board, land on the moon, and return.
