| Probably going to announce around 3:30 |
| There’s a cold weather advisory until 11am tomorrow and the side roads are icy. I think closed tomorrow |
|
Closing today gives them through Monday to get these side streets to a point where buses can pass. The only choice they really have.
For staff, I expect a virtual PD day on Thursday with everyone still at home |
| Close! Close! Close! |
LOL, they’ll work harder to get everything open for Thursday than they would if it was a regular school day. Too many Important Central Office People need to show off how important they are on Thursday! |
| Oh yeah, it will be closed. There are so many elementary schools where no parking lots have been touched. |
| I'm gonna go against the grain and say they are going to call a 2 hour delay |
That’s absolutely true. We’re in the budget negotiation part of the year. |
| I hope they communicate everything today- status for tomorrow and let staff know about Thursday. I doubt they make us go on time. |
I think you’re right. They’re going to make a Herculean effort and put everyone in a bind just for a 5 hour day. |
The schools surrounding our neighborhood are clear. |
You do know that there are 200 schools, yes? |
I do, actually. Just sharing my experience. |
Both the major road going to the elementary school and 2/3 elementary school parking lots are still snow with ice on top-cars sink in and get stuck. |
| We had a usps van got stuck in our circle for maybe half an hour, some neighbors came out to help but still couldn’t get it moved, finally a snow plower came and pull the usps van with metal chain. Poor usps driver I don’t understand why they have to work today. The mailman basically parked then walked around to deliver mails. Hopefully it won’t happen to school bus if they decide to open tomorrow. |
