HS Swim - Districts this weekend?

We’re in Concorde and were told this morning it was timed finals from 10am -4:30pm on Friday.

Hoping for the original schedule with prelims/finals, but really wish they would just make a decision

Seriously? That is so wrong! Why deprived the kids have a chance to swim on Saturday when there is no precipitation coming. At worst you plan to swim Saturday and if for some reason it was canceled then you just take Fridays times, but at least give them the option of Saturday if the weather is fine.

For those that are doing timed finals it is disadvantageous to the swimmers and the new line up might have impacted choices.

As always better communication of the situation and constraints would help a lot. Ideally this is the best option.

Given all the other districts are holding meets on Saturday, and doing prelims and finals, I think national would be hard pressed to justify why they did away with finals.

There is plenty of time and no weather constraints. National has por decision makers.
