So FCPS is normally ok with meets at 830 at night (if they go on time) and kids being done around 1030. Add in bus time and some don’t even get back to 11pm….

They are ok with this provided there are not hazardous driving conditions (just using their logic - not trying to defend any decision making)

Ugh - is this published anywhere? We have doctors appts and work Friday morning. It would be nice if they would get notification out. Instead we got same vague email from the coach more worried about kids attending practice tomorrow in order to be eligible for districts due to VHSL rules.

The PP said they have to be done by 6 pm, so it makes sense to assume they’d have to get it done early to fit it all in.

How does each district get to decide what they do? I understand those that aren’t in FCPS but why are some FCPS kids getting timed final on Friday and others get two shots with prelims and finals? FCPS is ridiculous. Most of these kids have been out past 6 all week and if parents don’t want their teen on the road then the parents can drive.

As timed finals would be under 5 hours. Timeline for prelims was about four hours, then add back in the relays.
