Stop. |
You stop, I just saw that for the first time and reacted. It certainly explains a lot. |
|
Two more days until the next episode. Which plotlines are you most excited about for Thursday?
-I am really invested in the possibly abused little girl and the guy who keeps slipping into all kinds of altered states -I want to see Langdon apologize to Santos -I think Louis is going to die, but probably not this week |

I really don’t want Louis to die. I really, really don’t want Louis to die.
I feel like the girlfriend is going to be imoirtant in this possible child abuse storyline. Like, she will somehow stand up for the daughter being abused. I don’t see how a father goes to work when a child has a bruise like she has on her back. FFS. |
PP here, I don’t want him to die either but I think we should have the Kleenex ready. I don’t know what to think about the little girl, everything we are seeing screams abuse, but I wonder if it’s misdirection and she has some kind of strange condition. The girlfriend does seem very off in some way, maybe just a feeling of not wanting to be there, or maybe some fear. The child seems so composed and mature. Sort of abnormally so for a crazy ER. |
I also think it is misdirection re the little girl, and will be a learning experience for Santos (she’s already leapt to blame the father, while Dr Robbie and the social worker are cautioning her to reserve judgment). |
I hope they’re not just copying the similar ER storyline. |
So I guess her baby wasn't Robby's |
The embryo/fetus she aborted years ago was. Writers confirmed. |

So far, I am not as into Season 2. I totally see them painting Robby as severely burned out, but he is just coming off like a jerk.
And, this pains me, but I think they're trying too hard with Dana and Mel. I think they were clear fan favorites, so they're accentuating their quirks, when last season, they came across as very natural. Dana's accent is now so strong that I'm having trouble understanding her. And the beauty of Mel's performance in the first season was that her neurodivergence was so subtle. I understand that she is stressed right now, but her quirks are over the top. |
Yes! |
| I am really missing Mateo and Kiara! |
It is so unrealistic that they have a jolly chronic alcoholic who needs constant medical attention that the staff adores. this is not how late stage chronic alcoholism presents. Alcoholics aren't jolly and affable when they're going through withdrawal in the hospital. It is ugly and they get angry and anxious because they want' alcohol. And this is not how doctors and nurses react to them. They get frustrated seeing these people over and over again when they're causing their own problems and not helping themselves. I'd be glad to see this story line over, particularly since this show aims for realism. |
After reading about the Fairfax County murder trial, I wonder if a blood clotting disorder can present that way? |
