Baby was crying loudly and NO ONE was there until the pony tailed singing doctor came in after bay cried awhile. Once again since you seem to have a medical issue prohibiting you either admitting there’s a mistake in the show or learning anything new about proper baby/bedding warnings. Your first sentence is completely wrong if you believe that, a thin blanket that can be used for swaddling is fine to put around a baby in a non-swaddle way. You can have a blanket of any thickness in a proper, tight swaddle around a baby. But a loose blanket on the baby is not allowed when the child is under 12 months old when the child is put to sleep or in a crib/bassinet/playpen for any reason. You look foolish. |
You sound unhinged. You’re taking this way too seriously. It’s a TV show. Perhaps the swaddle was opened because the baby just got examined. Everyone could hear the crying baby. Who cares. The baby was under hosptial supervision so I’m sure it was fine. I would be more concerned if this were a real baby in someone’s private home. |
| Are you concerned that the baby was screaming loudly and no one was attending it? What was that about? |
How wrong you are, idiot. Just went and rewatched the scene. There was a male nurse or maybe dr that was literally in the room with the baby while the swaddle was open. It was clear he had just done an exam on her. He was near the baby and took off his stethoscope and removed his gloves and that’s when Santos came in. She asked what was going on and he explained she had rhinovirus. He asked Santos to stay with her for a minute so he could get the Tylenol. The baby was not unattended with the open swaddle blanket at all. Santos began singing and then loosely wrapped her back up in the swaddle. They did not show her leaving the baby alone at any time with an open blanket. In a later scene the baby was properly swaddled back up. Touch grass. |
There’s no mistake in the show and the only one who looks foolish is you. The baby was never left unattended or put to sleep with a loose blanket. The baby’s swaddle was opened for the nurse to do his exam. Go back and watch the scene. |
I think they just don't have the resources. If the baby's fine but just cranky they simply have to direct the resources at emergency cases. |
+1 |
Bc that doc went in and she was alone. Who has an ER supervising a normal acting baby? |
Rewatch the scene moron. The baby had just finished an exam and her dr or nurse was in the room with her when she was crying loudly, Un swaddled when Santos walked in. |
Also the male nurse stated the baby was “febrile” before he asked Santos to watch her “for a minute while he got the Tylenol.” Perhaps he thought it best not to tightly swaddle an infant with a fever. Then Santos came in and sang. We did not see Santos leave the room once the baby calmed down. I’m sure the nurse came back and gave her Tylenol and re wrapped her properly. We saw the baby again in another scene later back in her swaddle. It makes sense that the baby was unswaddled in that scene as the nurse was examining her. That would cause a baby to cry. |
What medical issue do you have that makes you insult people, even though you are 100% wrong? You are arrogant, stupid, and foolish. |
That’s a male nurse and he’s an actual ER nurse. I saw an interview with him and he’s both an actor and a nurse (who still works in an ER). |
DP. I think I saw the same interview. He said one of his jobs on set is to speak up if there's anything going on in a scene that just feels totally off or unrealistic to him. I also saw an interview with another medical consultant in the show talking about how they block trauma scenes in a really detailed way so that the consultants can review what each cast member is doing in advance and make sure it makes sense for their role (like making sure the med students aren't performing an activity that would normally be done by someone else, for instance). I'm not surprised there are little things they get wrong, it's not reality and people are so eagle eyed these days. But they clearly get a lot right, enough that pretty much every Dr and nurse I know talks about how seen they feel watching the show, including my friend who is an ER doc and spent about 10 years at a trauma 1 center. |

This is why I love threads and Reddit. No one s arguing about swaddle blankets. DCUM always has the weirdest takes on things. Anyway-I think something is going to happen to Robby’s motorcycle that is going to cause an accident-didn’t he mention something about a mechanic coming?
Also, what was the possible diagnosis of the obese guy? I didn’t quite understand what surgical was saying though whatever it was seemed involve a 50% chance of death. |
Do we think this random guy who's supposed to be coming will somehow die in a motorcycle accident? I feel like that would be way too on the those, though. |
