| They gave awards out during medal ceremony. No idea what this 11 thing is you’re taking bout |
Your an idiot. The 2011 SYC first team did not play in the State Cup.
|
Okay. Let me explain to you how SYC strategically did this. When the team registered to play, they knew who they wanted from the first team and got them rostered. There is no need to 'sneak' anyone in.
|
Yeah, they can't win unless they bring players down from the first team. But to be fair, that team lost half their starters this season and this year was a 'rebuilding' period.
|
what happened to 2013 syc kids? where did they go? |
+1 The hype is over |
Happened at the Virginian too but that's a SYC tournament. |
No, your jaded view if fairly obvious and it seems like you're sock-puppeting and answering your own posts again. For the Record, Arlington had 8 teams in the finals (between the State Cup and President's Cup for Boys and Girls) SYC Had 5 teams PWSI Had 2, Loud had 2 A lot of other clubs only had 1 team reach the finals Arlington is a very good club, but there are a bigger club. SYC is also a very good club. Not sure there is too much hype unless you are spending too much time on social media, which just feeds you more of the things you click on, so maybe take a break? -Good Day! |
I think the post was about the 2012s not the whole SYC |
|
You all worried about winning and losing at 2012 are weird. I had a kid in both tournaments and our team did fine, but we didn’t win either.
Seriously, at what age do you think coaching and player development value are reflected in pure wins and loses? Goalie development is more than half the battle at that age if you care about final scores. |
The travel soccer bill we all eat is a easier pill to swallow when it's accompanied by wins. Being overly concerned about wins like when you're smashing teams 7-0 is definitely asinine but expecting people to not care at all about winning and losing is a little delusional. Humans are passionate about sports and even more so when their kid is involved at about $5k a year lol. |
I totally get your points. They are valid. We did beat teams, that maybe we should not have simply because the goalie position was rotated by field players and or/ the kids who were full time goal keepers still did not master the basics (standing at the near post on corner kicks for example) which resulted in easy goals scored. I will say you're right and true player development often does not go hand in hand with a winning record. I saw plenty of kids & teams doing the right things/ who were coached the correct way who did not make it to the finals in the tournament. |
Excellent marketing point for Arlington and a good one for SYC |
Go back and cry in thr VRSC thread. |
