I live by the Canadian border. We're going to be going up there a lot to eat and shop. If you have any money left this summer plan a trip to Canada. |
Urban thirty-something Canadian woman here....I highly recommend Judith & Charles and John Fluevog. Oh, the pretty things I could buy with American dollars. Go nuts!! |
If there were no buyers for fentanyl there would be no need to bring it into the country from anywhere. It's so supply and demand so put all the drug addicts in rehabs. |
| We should also avoid buying anything made in the US. Only way to show that we are against the tariffs and that they won't work in getting more made in USA happen is to avoid buying (to the extent possible) goods made in the US. |
Good Bring it on. True that we will all suffer but I don't mind because MAGAS will finally see that their God is actually a demon. |
As you say they will not be able to adjust to the new market. So they will have more product than they can sell at the original prices, so prices will go down. |
| Canada's economy is about 70% trade with America. They can't afford a trade war. |
|
Canada should just say okay. We will join the US as 10 states. All it would take is a simple majority in congress and the president’s signature.
lol add 50 congressmen and 20 senators who will be left of Bernie! I would love to watch the Republicans choke that down. As soon as Trump signs you could impeach him(and his mimi me)! |
Yeah, that would be nice, but Trump doesn't want 10 states, or even 1. He wants a territory with no rights. |
Well, you’ll be disappointed to learn most of Roots clothing isn’t made in Canada, and neither are Sorel boots. |
Cheap corn and soybeans yippee! |
Neither can we. That's why trade wars are bad. We all get harmed. |
Canadian here. You are right. We can't afford a trade war, but what are we supposed to do? Trusk started this trade war with a made-up justification. This is not about fentanyl. We absolutely do not want to be part of the US. That is a non-starter. We will suffer but we have to be strong and persevere. |
Or maybe not, since Canada supplies 80% of the potash used in US farms’ fertilizer. The tariffs are particularly problematic for farmers in many levels. |
Go visit CANADA, prices are cheaper. |
