| 100% tariff on Tesla's, LOLOLOL |
Awesome. |
No one is buying those anymore. Newsome excluded Tesla from electric vehicle credits. |
| Isn’t potash one of their biggest exports? Soon time to spend billions bailing out farmers again. |
|
Canada should also blind NORAD for being able to detect nah missiles over the North Pole/Canadian soil.
Just unbelievable how this trainwreck presidency has destroyed relations with our neighbors that have been fine for the last 100+ years. |
Terrific move. Cancel Starlink as well. |

So, we are "punishing" Canada for what reason? And how is a tariff punishing Canada if we are the importer? Don't we end up paying for it?
Someone explain this to me like I'm 5. |
There is no logical explanation. Republicans point to fentanyl, but less than 1 percent of all fentanyl in the US comes in via Canada. Whereas nearly all the illegal fentanyl in Canada comes in from the US. Just today the Canadians arrested two Americans smuggling fentanyl into the country. So that explanation holds no water. Every single day, the US and Canada do nearly $4 billion worth of trade. Every single day. That's more than a trillion every year. What's going to happen with the tariffs is catastrophic, particularly for Canada. As Buffet said, it's basically an act of war on Canada. And for what? This is a willful destruction of the entire North American economy. Republicans have become the party of pure nihilism. Canadians are united in their loathing for America right now. And Canada will do whatever it can to inflict maximum hurt on the US economy, particularly the red states. |
I think he wants puppet states like how Russia has Belarus. It won’t be the “51st state” because no way he wants those people voting. |

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on unjustified U.S. tariffs against Canada:
“Today, after a 30-day pause, the United States administration has decided to proceed with imposing 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian exports and 10 per cent tariffs on Canadian energy. Let me be unequivocally clear – there is no justification for these actions. “While less than 1 per cent of the fentanyl intercepted at the U.S. border comes from Canada, we have worked relentlessly to address this scourge that affects Canadians and Americans alike. We implemented a $1.3 billion border plan with new choppers, boots on the ground, more co-ordination, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. We appointed a Fentanyl Czar, listed transnational criminal cartels as terrorist organizations, launched the Joint Operational Intelligence Cell, and are establishing a Canada-U.S. Joint Strike Force on organized crime. Because of this work – in partnership with the United States – fentanyl seizures from Canada have dropped 97 per cent between December 2024 and January 2025 to a near-zero low of 0.03 pounds seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. “Canada will not let this unjustified decision go unanswered. Should American tariffs come into effect tonight, Canada will, effective 12:01 a.m. EST tomorrow, respond with 25 per cent tariffs against $155 billion of American goods – starting with tariffs on $30 billion worth of goods immediately, and tariffs on the remaining $125 billion on American products in 21 days’ time. Our tariffs will remain in place until the U.S. trade action is withdrawn, and should U.S. tariffs not cease, we are in active and ongoing discussions with provinces and territories to pursue several non-tariff measures. While we urge the U.S. administration to reconsider their tariffs, Canada remains firm in standing up for our economy, our jobs, our workers, and for a fair deal. “Because of the tariffs imposed by the U.S., Americans will pay more for groceries, gas, and cars, and potentially lose thousands of jobs. Tariffs will disrupt an incredibly successful trading relationship. They will violate the very trade agreement that was negotiated by President Trump in his last term.” |
Trudeau was just in Europe this past week, probably setting up trade deals to help combat this. It’s probably going to be worse for Canada than here, I wonder how bad it is going to get for them. |
Tesla is about done. Their board of directors is offloading all the shares. |
Let’s hope that the world joins in that. |

Canada puts Tariffs on $107 Billion of US imports in retaliation.
Trump is also threatening Tariffs for the EU. At this rate, the US won't have any trading partners. US global corporations will collapse. Way to go GOP! |
