Churches, like all other buildings, are subject to laws and regulations on capacity limits, etc. Moreover, in NY, the Catholic Church joined forces with a particularly hardline Orthodox Jewish group that is well known for ignoring local law enforcement. Poor optics. Now, Donald is allowing ICE to enter churches to remove undocumented immigrants.
