I think you might have to step out of your bubble to see this, and I say this kindly. I have had Dem friends tell me they were impressed by him, after watching the debate. I have had multiple women say he looks very good and they feel sad for his upbringing. I have nothing for him, but do not underestimate him. And he will poll well in swing states - I live in one.

I was one of the swing state people on here who told ya'll that I saw Trump signs and no Harris signs in my blue neighborhood.

I'm amazed at the naïveté in this thread. What makes any of you think that Trump will 1) relinquish power after 4 years or 2) relinquish it to Vance and not someone else that Trump himself choses? He won't stop meddling in politics until he's six feet under.

Trump is far more gracious than Biden. If he felt he was ailing, he would definitely step down to let Vance get sworn in. He chose Vance because he’s young and smart. His ego isn’t bothered by Vance’s superior IQ. Most presidents don’t choose VP’s that are smarter or can outshine them. It’s like Biden and Harris and Obama and Biden, etc.. Biden would never let Kamala get the opportunity to become Pres for a few days let alone months.

Sadly Trump didn’t have a choice as he’s the dumbest person in America. At least he picked someone who also has a low IQ to minimize the difference.

Oh yes. Trump is mostly characterized by his gracious acceptance of defeat and humble awareness of his own limitations. Those are his defining characteristics.

I think Vance is smart enough to understand his only path forward is to kiss the ring 24/7. I also think he’s craven enough to do it and say whatever will get him elected. I strongly suspect he will be elected in 2028. Maybe then we will find out what his actual moral compass looks like.

Vance is a populist Republican. Trump is rewriting the party from Reagan and Bush and trickle down economics to America first economics. Of course the establishment doesn’t like America first. They want the focus on nation building in other countries instead of here in the US
