Do coaches even have a say? Do they usually reach out to the scout and tell them there's a kid he should look at??? Not just SYC, any club.

If you ask the TD at SYC he will smirk and tell you DCU is not a good club and they would rather hold the player back than send them there.

Irony with that is DCU didn't pick up any 2011 players from SYC. There were some great players on that 2011 squad but that destroyed when 1. HG took over. 2. When JR took over. 3. When

I think all players playing in MLS Next league aspires to be picked up by an academy and on the pathway to pro. Not sure why the coach need to be told that a player is interested in moving to an academy.
