Fall Pre-season Tournaments

Shouldn't the coaches ask for roster checks before each game, to avoid salty parents slandering teams on the internet later? Maybe their best players were on vacation Saturday and back on Sunday.

Biggest issue we saw was nobody checking player cards. One “independent” club team came back on Sunday with a handful of new players that were conspicuously absent the first day. All were bigger, faster and better than the rest of the team they put out there when they lost by almost double digits.

Heard that happened in more than 1 age group too.

Yes this was rampant. Zero oversight.

Name the teams or its BS and you are a sore loser

This happens in every tournament.

So which teams?

Somebody already mentioned VISTA, that was clearly one of those who brought a few older players on day 2. I think they still lost in the u10 championship, but everybody noticed it, just nobody said anything. Not sure anybody cared except the parents. 😂

I’ll just say that anybody who’s been around the area and in this community long enough would not be surprised by this. Unfortunate but it happens (and not just with this club).

In general, you can have 24 players rostered for a tournament but only 18 can be dressed. Many of the big clubs (SYC) will max their roster and float their players.
This is typical during the MLS Next season.

Players' cards can only be for one team in a tournament. You can't dual roster players and move them around to different teams during the tournament.

Good luck to all those playing in Copa Rayados this weekend. Can't wait to come back and hear about all the bashing.

The only bashing are idiotic parents twisting themselves in knots for some meaningless (win/loss) preseason scrimmages

Its meaningless to those who are not good enough to be on a team that is participating, and that sir would be you.

I've never once heard of a tournament legitimately allowing teams to share players game to game, what tournaments allow this?
