What if Biden does not bow out?

Because we all know who he is. Republicans know who he is and like him in spite of/because of those things. And lots of independents are leaning that way.

Biden is not who we thought. We thought he was still there. We have been lied to by the Whitehouse and frankly the majority of the media because it was covering it up by either not asking for more access or asking tough questions. The media, like you, was focused on how bad Trump is but never bothered to dig into the stories of Biden’s struggles or his ever more limited availability for unscripted events. I mean I only just learned after the Debate that he bailed on the G7 dinner. Wtf is that! We are still supposed to the the leader of the free world and he skipped it to rest up! No. No. He HAS to go to things like that. He then tells us after the debate disaster that he needs to go bed by 8pm. No. If that is what he needs, that is ok but then it’s just time to retire. He is NOT entitled to be the President of the United Stated and him staying in the spot is preventing us from having a good candidate who can beat Trump. He is acting like a king right now. He apparently can’t really do the job now and lots of people do not see electing him as any better than electing Trump. And with him in such obvious decline, much as I disagree, that position is not crazy.

I agree with this 100%. The things he said in the interview were
entitled and selfish. He’s only going to step down if God tells him to?! So he gets his power from God like a king? He doesn’t care that a significant number of people who voted for him in 2020 want another Democrat on the ticket?

The DNC can take out Joe whenever they want. All they have to do is stop protecting him and Hunter from jail time.

Biden HAS to bow out.

With him weighing down House and Senate races, it's not just the Presidency he's going to lose for his party.

Picking an alternative, despite the fighting and second-guessing, will give Democrats a chance for all three.

This is a choice between a certain loss and a fighting chance.

If you stick with Biden now, you're voting for Trump.

Biden is in it to win it. He’s staying in.

He has about as much contact with reality as Hitlers bunker.in April 1945.

If your memes were reality you’d be doing a victory dance and not worrying about whether Biden will or will not drop out.

Yeah, that's what I can't figure out either - why the pro-Trump trolls are so angsty and agitated and upset when they should be kicking back and celebrating their win.

It’s because he still can’t win. They need the chaos of Biden dropping out, naming a successor, getting that name on all the ballots, etc. to prevail.

They are desperate. Because demographics have changed such that the “swing voters” aren’t even relevant. All we need to do is get out the vote and they literally cannot win. GA was the canary in the coal mine. They are freaking out.

I will never vote for Trump, but I think you are vastly overconfident about the demographics here. I live in a deep blue state and in the past two weeks I have seen a surge of Trump banners, stickers, etc. in front of houses and on the cars of people who are not remotely in the demographics you seem to believe are locked in for the Democrats. I didn’t even see that in 2016 (and for reference, I knew Trump was going to win in June 2016).

Your hubris is going to be the failure of the Democrats. Do not take people’s votes for granted, particularly the votes of young people who don’t trust the party that has been telling them that Joe Biden is fine.

It’s not hubris to say that the demographic advantage exists and that’s why the Trump trolls aren’t celebrating that Biden is the candidate, but rather trying to push him out. Biden is going to have to prove that he can stay in this and win it, to those young voters especially, and I think he will. That’s said, I don’t think there’s some widespread belief that Biden isn’t just old and had a very bad night, and that there’s some kind of cover-up about a diagnosed condition. I’m just not hearing that.

I think Trump can definitely win but the pro-Trump posters are obviously still worried about other things. I think they are trying to confuse and demoralize Democrats so that the Dems lose momentum in other races, to prevent them from having a majority in Senate / House so that Trump can be completely unstoppable and unaccountable.

We can't let them do that. Even if Biden drops out we need to, all the more, gain a significant majority in the House and Senate. That will allow us to block Trump, hold him accountable, impeach and convict him if necessary, along with blocking any more Leonard Leo SCOTUS picks. It is absolutely essential that we understand their tricks and games and do not give in.

He is just as selfish and egotistical as Trump at this point.

And his ego is going to saddle us with trump for another 4 years.

I'm not sure it's the Trump voters who want Biden out. Die-hard Trumpists are more than happy for Biden to stay in the race. Instead, I think it's coming from self-respecting Americans.

Boo Hoo the fraudulent election and installed President is destroying the cheating Dems. Biden is not the kind to “step down” he’s got a gangster mentality and will lash out at people that try to throw him under the bus. It’s payback time.

You aren’t hearing that because you are in a far-left bubble. If you followed non-bubble TikToks, X accounts, or are around a diverse group of Gen Zers (which I frequently am), you would be absolutely hearing about how Biden is cooked, how he has dementia that’s been covered up, etc. Your media bubble is sheltering you from reality.

As for the demographic advantage, you seem to think that it’s somehow a permanent advantage for Democrats. I suspect that you have been one of the DCUM ghouls eagerly awaiting the deaths of older voters in a fantasy that it will lead to permanent Democratic installation. What I am saying is that this is unmitigated hubris, and also shows that you are hermetically sealed in a far-left bubble.

Trump is ahead by 2.3%. Can you explain why Trump would want to run against someone else? It's his biggest lead in four months. Remember, he and his team have been campaigning against Biden for the four years. No one want to do a bunch of new research for a different opponent in the last 120 days.

I feel validated because Maureen Dowd agreed with me last week in her NYT article that it was the DNC fault that we are in this mess. No matter what Biden said about not wanting to run because of his son's death, he was actually pushed aside so that the unelectable Hillary Clinton could run and we had Trump foisted on the country. Biden would have easily beaten Trump and would now be coasting toward the end of his second term with a good VP (not Harris who he was forced to pick by the DNC) to succeed him.

My new conspiracy theory, is that there is a split between the DNC and Biden's White House. The DNC pushed the early debate at 9 pm which would show how ineffective Biden is at night. He seems to be suffering from Parkinson's Disease with the classic sundowner syndrome shutting him down at night. The DNC knew there would be enough time to show how bad off Biden is and to get someone else into the race. The current hand wringing by the Biden White House is being ignored by the senators and congresspeople who do not want to lose down ticket with Biden at the top.

The DNC is trying to undo the harm they did with Trump's election by pushing Biden out. God help us if they do not succeed in getting Biden to give up his primary votes.
