Some of those were not reported but posts that I saw when I was reviewing a post that was reported. Calling a topic boring is really stupid. If the topic boring, dont' read it. Certainly don't reply to it. Go find a thread that is not boring.

DCUM is not a free speech zone. It’s a privately owned website that is run by and caters to people with Progressive politics. Period. As Jeff says, if you want to hear both sides go start your own website. But this is not a forum where anyone is interested reading posts by right wingers. They and their speech have no place here. The poster is mostly correct. DCUM is privately owned and nobody, perhaps other than me, has a right to free speech here. I only have the right in the case the government is trying to interfere. It is also true that we cater to people with progressive politics. I have suggested to many posters who don't like my moderation that they should start their own websites so that they wouldn't have to put up with me. But, I think that poster (who is the OP of this thread), takes things too far. I have never said or even thought that MAGAs should be completely banned.

I want to remind everyone that the Supreme Court has ruled that it is legal to discriminate on the basis of your religious beliefs. I have firmly held religious beliefs that require me to discriminate against non-gay MAGAs. So, straight MAGAs should never expect to be treated fairly on this website. If they don't like this situation, they should complain to Sam Alito.

My biggest irritation with MAGAs is that they make it impossible to have a proper discussion. They disrupt every thread in the political forum. As I have said, a few of them are clearly crazy. Others are, if not reasonable, at least not that big of a problem. So, I don't feel a need to get rid of all MAGA posters. But, there are some that I would love to see find another home on the Internet.

And do you also acknowledge that there are plenty of LWNJs who *also* disrupt every thread in the political forum? And that quite a few of them are clearly crazy? Because this notion that only MAGA posters are the problem is laughable and false.

I am a political forum devotee and also a serial reporter, who was on vacation last week so I have not been reading/ reporting there since the debate until today. I’m an equal opportunity reporter and report posts that are off topic or complete BS or racist/sexist etc. whichever side of the aisle they’re on. I can attest that about 9 out of 10 posts I end up reporting for those reasons are MAGA.

Interesting, because I am also a forum devotee and serial reporter and find there are FAR more unhinged LWNJ posts on a daily basis than MAGA posts. In fact, there is no contest - and I also report any post that is off-topic or off-color.

In my experience you only report posts with which you disagree politically or in other words, those posted by liberals. I have often responded to your reports and seen far worse posts that you skipped over. So, I am not surprised that you have the experience that you describe. I don't remember you ever reporting a post that was posted by a conservative. The other poster, on the other hand, does report posts from both sides. I agree with her that far more inappropriate posts come from MAGAs than from the left.

I don’t think Jeff does. I have disagreed with him several times but I have also agreed with him. I’m a more conservative Democrat than Jeff but squarely anti-Trump. I think today’s Supreme Court ruling is disgraceful, for instance. But I also think the progressive left of the Party is actively harmful.

I’m really furious about what has happened here because I think the Democrats are handing the election to Trump. And that is awful. I also think that there are very serious questions of national security that have to be asked here, even putting aside the election. (And before the wearisome and frantic “MAGA” accusations start flying, yes of course there are national security concerns about Trump.)

But I get the sense OP views any criticism of Biden’s shocking debate performance as “MAGA.”
