One of the wokest, most liberal neighborhoods in Arlington has an apartheid wall at its northern border to keep out the black residents of Halls Hill and Highview Park. They refuse to remove it because of its "historic" nature. Maybe once Halls Hill and Highview Park are completely gentrified, the will remove the wall.

It’s my understanding that the halls hill residents don’t want it removed.

Why were you even on the waitlist then?

They weren’t.

You lose money if you take your name off the wait list. We were on it but moved so took our name off. It’s not a cheap decision.

I think she means she had members encourage her to join and offer to sponsor her. We’ve had the same from several people over the years but never wanted to pursue it. I don’t want my kids growing up in that kind of environment and can’t see myself hanging out there when they’re grown and out of the house.

If you are in those parts, good for you. Your kids are (were) already behind and need(ed) to study and work hard to catch up with the kids who, by dint of birth, are already many tiers above them.

Hmm, my sense is it’s private school parents wanting other private school parents to join so their kids are hanging out with school friends and not public school kids.
