Are Any Fellow Jews Thinking of Changing Their Voting

It’s this paragraph where you casually informed us all that you have indeed fallen under the sway of right wing propaganda. It’s America and we have a democracy for now so enjoy supporting the people who will happily wipe you out of the country. If there is a second Trump presidency, the guardrails will be gone.

+1 I mean.. Trump said he wanted to be a dictator, even for one day. And we all know if he wins, it will be four years of "revenge POTUS".

Most of his supporters are not moderates. They are MAGA unhinged, conspiracy loving idiots.

-moderate, former R

You too are delusional. All the many, many people who I know who are voting for Trump are doing it while holding their noses. Anything is better than Biden. The only thing worse would be Kamala. I’ve seen the other option and it’s better.

No, I'm another poster, and it's clear to me that Trump has dementia, and also intends to be a dictator because last time, when he tried to become a dictator, we barely stopped him and didn't actually punish him in any way that is meaningful to him. It's time to face the reality of who and what you are voting for.

I can’t get over how much obvious antisemitism I see—even at my own child’s college—and how I’m being gaslighted and told by non Jews that what I’m seeing doesn’t exist or that since there are some Jews who agree, it can’t be Jew hating.

I can’t imagine voting for Trump, and I genuinely think Biden supports Jews. But I want to send a message to the left wing of the Democratic Party that they are taking Jewish support for granted.

Right now I would not give a blanket vote to any down ticket Democrat without looking at their record on Jews and Israel. And there’s a part of me that really isn’t sure I won’t vote for Trump just because I’m so angry.

No one cares, you simply aren't that important, and vote for whoever you want to. The real goal has to be to stop electing politicians in America who fund and accept Israeli atrocities.

Why?!?! What did the Trump administration do that was even remotely antisemitic?

I don’t even know how to respond to such a dumb blanket statement, but I’ll try.

Starting with FDR, pretty much every democratic president (with the notable exception of Clinton) has been a raging antisemite. FDR refused to let Jews trying to escape Nazi Germany into the US. FDR refused to bomb railways leading to concentration camps. He refused to bomb the camps themselves, too, of course. When Polish resistance worker, Jan Karski, met with FDR and detailed the Holocaust and begged him to help the Jews, FDR couldn’t care less and asked about how the horses were doing.

His wife hated Jews, too. She wrote appealing letters to her mom about how awful Jews were. (But who cares, she wrote the into to the American version of the Diary of Anne Frank, so all is forgiven.)

And yet American Jews love FDR. They thank god he was president. My guess is this cognitive dissonance is because of a tremendous guilt for basically looking the other way while their relatives (literally) were being murdered. They doubled down on their support of Democrats and for Civil Rights to appease that guilt. “See, we’re not really cowards or bad people, we’re helping the Blacks, right?”

And it’s gone on like that for several generations, despite all signs that the Democrats were growing increasingly antisemitic, of course, thinly veiled in anti-Zionism. Jimmy Carter alone should have moved American Jews to the right. And don’t get me started on Barry.

But, there’s always the ludicrous nonsensical argument that Trump supporters are Neo-nazis ready to start internment camps. Meanwhile, this ignores the reality that he has no affiliation with any far right groups and that most of his supporters are moderates who want a return to less inflation and stronger borders.

The reality is that most people, like my Jewish ass, who are probably going to vote for Trump are doing so because we are sick of DEI and leftist ideology infiltrating all of our institutions. We love our country and our borders and are disgusted to see a Palestinian flag flying over any campus in the US.

I’m sure Trump is a narcissist and a blow hard, and he’s hardly an ideal leader. But as I remember, because it wasn’t long ago, everything was better with his administration. And I could walk across a college campus without getting accosted for my Jewish face.

I think every statement in your diatribe was a lie. Rare that they’re all lies, but you’ve done it.

If you want to vote for an authoritarian, go for it. Trump has a Jewish daughter and grandkids, I’m sure he doesn’t personally hate Jews like he hates Muslims and brown people. But he has sold his diapered rear end to the Evangelicals. They only support Israel because of its role in the end times and they’ll never pass up a chance to brutalize Muslims. They still believe you all killed Jesus- they’ll come for you eventually. Ancient hatred doesn’t just die because you share a common enemy.

Trump will give them what they want because they are his base of power, and there aren’t many people left to stop him.

So you do what you want. Just don’t say you weren’t warned.

MBS normalizing relations with Israel is what caused Hamas to attack on orders from Iran. Reportedly the normalization will be happening anyways.
The Saudis right now hate Iran the most. Iran is behind the Houthi takeover in Yemen, which would surround Saudi Arabia.
MBS gave Israel permission to fly over Saudi airspace for attacks on Iran.

Perhaps you should consider watching what Trump said instead of media reports. "I'm not talking about the neonazis or white supremacists who should be totally repudiated"

Right after Trump I donated to ACLU, AOC, and random other “blue wave” Congressional candidates. Even had a recurring donation set up on Act Blue. Now, no more. This is a result of a lot of stuff, not just Israel, but it’s the icing on the cake. I would never vote for Trump, but if I could vote for Congress, I definitely might go for a more moderate R.

Have you checked your statements to see if ActBlue stopped charging?

The real Nazis are brazenly threatening Jewish people and wearing face covers. Turns out the nationalists are the hero’s now.

I’m confused, OP. The protesters hate Biden, and he has no love lost for them. When asked last week if any of their actions had changed his position (which the protesters consider too pro-Israel), he flatly said “no.” Yet, you think he’s siding with them? In what way?

Are these the same nationalists that make monkey noises at black women?

I may be swinging the pendulum too far, but words cannot express how absolutely disgusted I’ve been by the far left and DEI exclusion of and disregard for Jews and viewpoint diversity. It absolutely floors me that Jews, arguably the most discriminated against minority in history, are excluded from the DEI movement because it’s literally a competition for who is the most persecuted and oppressed in a “what have you done for me lately” DEI movement who doesn’t support minorities who lift themselves up and better themselves. It persuaded me that DEI is an anti-meritocracy that rewards the lazy and most whiny. To see the word genocide being causally thrown in Jews’ faces and to see Zionism always equated with Judaism and the outright antisemitism…… it made me realize the far left/radical Muslims are building a strong alliance against all Jews - American and Israeli - and I think this is the greatest threat to American Jews who have enjoyed many decades of safety and prosperity thanks to this great country’s protections of civil rights. Unfortunately, I think Trump will do a better job of protecting American Jews and Israeli Jews by failing to tolerate the far left and their antics. And I think the KKK/far right loonies are a lesser threat to American Jews in the short term because they will never align with the Arabs.

Amen. Could not say it any better.

The difference between Trump and Biden is that Trump had a son-in-law who was Jewish, who he clearly cares for, and clearly listened to on issues that were important to and impacted Jewish people. Obviously, Trump did not always make the decision we wanted him to make, but it was clear he actually considered us and our needs. I’ve seen nothing to suggest Biden cares at all about the Jewish people, or has any interest in listening to us or treating us as Americans. He certainly cares far more about pacifying and cozying up to the radical Islamic extremist movement that is currently targeting Jews as a part of their pro-Genocide “protests” then supporting American Jews and Israel in our time of need.

Biden and Dems supporting arms sales to Israel to fight Hamas is not enough? How is that " cozying up to the radical Islamic extremist movement"?
They have helf upu the latest sale.

Because Trump is a danger to this country. He has proven himself incapable of keeping national security secrets secret.

Do you want him to put an image of a satellite photo he got from Israel on Truth Social? Because that is the kind of shlt he does.

Most of our allies don't trust Trump, so they won't share their intel with us. It cripples our ability to protect our national security.

Like I said, cut off your nose to spite your face.

And I am sick of DEI, too, btw. I'm a former R, but DEI is nothing compared to our national security. You are, or used to be a Dem, which is why you don't understand how critical it is for our country to have trusted allies for our national security and have a POTUS who doesn't tweet national security information for the world to see.

Oh yeah, the infamous Russia argument. Get over it, Hillary!

Are you seriously so siloed that you don’t know that’s real?

In the way that some people really really really want to vote Republican and will look for any excuse no matter how flimsy to do so.

You mean the Nazis who intentionally ran people in Charlottesville over with the cars are the good guys now? Chanted Nazi slogans? Carried torches?

Those are the good guys? I'm hoping this is sarcasm otherwise someone is truly out of touch with reality.
