Supreme Court Texas Immigration Ruling

It is maddening. We have J6ers who are getting sentenced for simply walking on the Capitol grounds, and then we have these people - who are here illegally - who will likely be processed and released into the country after violently entering illegally. Only one person was arrested. He will probably be released as well.
Our country is upside down right now.

So why aren’t the TX authorities arresting them? That’s who is standing right there. If they aren’t prosecuted that’s on Abbott.

Where does it explain why Abbott let them go free?

Abbott had Texas take over the El Paso border and trumpeted about it everywhere. So if people are coming through, it's Abbott's fault.

Completely agree. That scene looks like something out of a dystopian nightmare. Every one of those migrants who rushed in needs to be deported, ASAP.

The court has literally told them they cannot enforce this law (for now), so Abbot cannot arrest them even if he wants to.

Yeah, as soon as the Fifth Circuit said to continue the injunction, Abbott said he was going to move forward anyway. Except he didn't. For whatever reason.

What court told them they couldn’t enforce state laws against assault and battery?

The Fifth Circuit told Texas that they cannot enforce the new state deportation law SB4.

Most of them have already been processed and are on their way to a neighborhood near you!!!

So TX didn't have any laws against assault and battery before SB4? I find that hard to believe.

Let me get this straight:
- Abbott declares Biden isn't tough enough on the border
- Abbott kicks out the border patrol and sends the TX guard to the border
- A bunch of immigrants assault the TX guard that Abbott said was going to do so much better than the border patrol, and the TX guard just lets them run away

And this is somehow Biden's fault?

Oh, please. We all know how that would go.........

These migrants would be given a lawyer, at the taxpayers expense, to contest the charges of assault and battery and accuse TX authorities of preventing entry.
Haven't you figured out that migrants have more rights than the authorities who enforce our laws (if those authorities are doing anything contrary to prevent illegal entry)?

Thanks to the 5th circuit (actually, the Biden admin. since they are the ones contesting the previous ruling), these violent migrants were turned over to border patrol since TX could not arrest and detain them.
And, as per Joe's policies, these migrants were processed and released into the country.

So you're saying the TX guard just purposely let them go because they didn't want to have to deal with prosecuting them? Instead of "catch and release," Abbott's policy is "don't even bother to catch"
