Sister Wives Tragedy - something bad happened trigger warning

And Christine--she seemed to have a special bond with Janelle's kids and they really loved her. Of course Kody too--I do think he's a terrible parent and I don't think he will ever forgive himself. But to lose a child is awful and I would never wish that pain on anyone. As much as I'm not her biggest fan, I do feel awful for Robyn. She's going to have to nurse Kody through this and that's an unimaginable task.

I just keep thinking about all of the trauma that they went through with the break-up of the family but that's nothing compared to this. This will forever change all of them. I just hope that the family can come together to find peace. And that Kody can pull his head out of his ass long enough to be the one to make that happen. It shouldn't have to be on Janelle to get them through this.

She actually lost her brother to suicide when he was Gabe's age. I feel awful for her. I'm sure this has brought up a lot of bad stuff for her, and she has to be there for Kody and the kids.

Things like this usually have the capacity to destroy a family or bind them closer together. The Browns are already destroyed so hopefully this can help them resolve some issues.

I do hope Kody and Janelle can lean on each other rather than being adversaries. Actually they seem pretty amiable (in the sense that their kids are grown so they don't really have to deal with each other but Janelle wasn't as "I'm done with him" as Christine was). My point is more Kody has Robyn, but Janelle doesn't have anyone. Like you said it shouldn't be on her to lead the surviving kids through this without Kody.

Don't be absurd.

Kody didn't reject him. I am not a Kody fan at all.
Kody is a disgusting POS full stop however saying he is at fault is wrong.

Suicide is horrible. Playing the blame game never helps.

Kody stopped communicating with him during Covid. They were at odds at how he handled covid. I’m sure that has to have played some part in Garrison’s mental health. I hope Kody reconciles with Gabe now. Life is too short.

So what they fought about Covid and respecting one’s house rules,

That does not mean Kody was the only reason this young man killed himself.

I hope you feel good about yourself speculating about something that is none of your business.

Not a Kody fan he’s gross no family needs this utter BS online after a suicide

Where in my response above this do you see anything that says Kody was the only reason this young man killed himself? I said it had to have played some part in his mental health. I didn’t even say his death. Reading comprehension please.

Did anyone notice how careful I was not to say Garrison’s death? I said the conflict has to have played a part in his mental health. The poster who got all riled up is triggered by suicide in some way (lost a family member or friend), or maybe close the the Brown family. I didn’t blame Kody for any death.

Honestly you sound crazier than the person you're arguing with. Someone disagrees with you so you mock them by saying they're triggered by suicide or they know Kody? Wtf?

You know definitively that they lost a family member or friend to suicide?

Someone didn’t disagree with me. They incorrectly said that I said that Kody was 100% responsible for Garrison’s death, which was never the case at all.

No, someone is trying to make me seem like a monster by saying that I 100% blamed Kody for Garrison’s death, when that is clearly not the case at all. I wonder why someone would do that. Why would someone exaggerate what I said which was clearly reasonable? It must be they have or are dealing with a situation in which possibly there was suicide? I don’t know for sure but that’s my hunch. Otherwise why would it bother them so much? Or it’s a troll.

I didn’t realize saying someone is triggered by something is actually mocking someone.

Disagreeing would be something like, “I don’t think Kody’s estrangement (or conflict) had anything to do with Garrison’s mental health!”

Instead I got “how dare you blame Kody 100% for Garrison’s death!”

See the difference?

Have you acknowledged that I didn’t blame Kody 100% for Garrison’s death? Until then, I won’t be engaging.

I feel awful in a way I watched all these TLC reality shows- the Duggar family, the Roloffs, Jon and Kate plus 8, SW. So many of the families have been terribly hurt by TLC exploiting the families in order to build up ratings. They emphasize conflicts and film the conflicts then the reactions of multiple family members to the conflicts. Intrusively filming minor who can’t give informed consent should be illegal.

I'm sorry TLC did not exploit any of them. They all signed contracts and then people watched over and over again.

The Duggars are you kidding? That pack of crap who Mike Huckabee and Sarah Sanders love?????? Republcians sure do love their pedos.

I agree TLC didn't exploit the parents. Kody and the wives all signed up for this. But Garrison was maybe 10 when they started filming? He didn't sign up for this shit.

The smart Brown kids - Logan, Aspyn, Leon, and Maddie - hightailed it out of Vegas and only appear on the show intermittently. The dumb ones like Mykelti and Paedon basically coattailed off their parents' fame to make money. (Which is what it is. They had no say in their childhood being filmed so why not capitalize on it.) But Garrison settled in Flagstaff, even bought a house there, and I worry that wasn't far enough away from his parents' dysfunction.

So are you saying that could be a factor in his mental health?
