Completely heartbroken to hear of this. I have watched the show from the beginning and he seemed like such a great guy. I feel horrible for Janelle and the rest of the family

It is very sad. I have not seen the show in a long time. It did seem though that with all the drama among the adults there was not much room for the children’s emotional needs.

The one who posted about the gun is a different poster than me. I’m the one who said Kody had rejected him and that had to have contributed in some way. But either way, both could be true.

He was 25. And there is one simple fact: people who do NOT own guns do not kill themselves with guns. Having a gun in your house raises your chances of suicide by gun astronomically. It doesn't mean that non-gun owners don't attempt self harm, but it does mean they are often less successful. This is not opinion, it's very well studied.
