NP. Any loss of life is tragic, any act of hate and murder is vile. The boy was Jordanian according to his father. No indication that the case of 3 students was motivated by hate. Shooting outside of a synagogue in Albany today. A pro Israel protester killed in Ca. 2 can play this game, no need to go over who has it worse. This is a thread about college presidents testifying in front of the confessional committee. Try to stay focused. |
Interesting tidbit about the shooting of the three Palestinian men. The shooter actually showed pro Palestinian views on his social media. The place where the three Palestinian men were walking were near a synagogue and it’s not a far fetched notion that a mentally ill man could not differentiate between Hebrew and Arabic. Highly ironic if he shot those three because he thought they were JEWISH. |
EXACTLY this. And where were all these rabid protesters during the genocide of Uyghurs? Nowhere to be found. How interesting. |
DP. Do you routinely call people "racists" if they criticize a POC? How about "misogynist" if they criticize a woman? |
+1 |
I’m saying people care more about Israel/ Palestine because anti semitism is so rife - than they do about another conflict where both sides are perceived by western countries as ‘the same color’ |
Not remotely: crowd sizes and social chatter much smaller for Ukraine than Gaza. |
Any pro-Hamas (aka pro-Palestinian) speech is calling for genocide against the global Jewish population. Period.
U.S. Jews are deeply thankful for the small majority of American politicians, such as Stephanik, Donald Trump, and others who are fighting to protect us from the genocide that we face on a daily basis. |
Here’s my two cents:
While all the commentary seems to be along the lines of how “dangerous and toxic college campuses” are, I think it’s something bigger and far more dangerous. While critics on seemingly fixating on clueless college presidents favoring one group over another in some next-level some exercise, I see fear: not fear of students or campus politics, but fear of a global movement that wields more power than even Congress and the public realize. Fear of a movement fueled by religious extremism. This goes far beyond the twitterverse and court of public opinion. |
Intelligent American Jews know that 1) not everything “pro-palestinian” is “pro-Hamas” and 2) Donald Trump has done more to unleash the forces of anti-semitism that threaten the safety of American Jews than any American politician of the last 30 years |
1) Show me the residents of Gaza and Palestine praising Israel for defending them against Hamas. Israel could have just nuked Gaza, but at great risk they are fighting street to street, door to door to remove Hamas and protect the innocent Palestinians. Despite this, Palestinians remain loyal to Hamas and refuse to thank Israel for this effort to save them. This, they are Hamas, they are one and the same. 2) Trump was one of the strongest, most pro-Israel presidents ever. He was clearly supportive of Israel’s god given right to exist, recognizing Jerusalem as being a Jewish city, and the Capital of Israel. He further negotiated the Abraham Accords, which were monumental is protecting Israel and Jewish Interests. This is compared to Biden, who has skirted the line of calling for Jewish genocide. Trump was a dear friend to the Jewish community, and never questioned the needs of Israel, and is Jews will remember that kindness and deep-rooted support when voting in 2024. |
Not only inelegantly, they sound stupid despite their PhD. So stupid that Upenn president issued another statement today "to be clear". |
And yet Jews were way safer during Trump's presidency. Paradox. |
