HAS THE DOG BEEN FED YET!? HE IS STARVING!!!!! |
Well, I cook breakfast, too. I bake muffins and cook eggs and bacon. I also put out fruit, yogurt, and cereal. Like I said, breakfast is the easiest meal to make for a crowd. I put it out buffet style. Others typically jump in and help, but it’s not necessary. Lunch is typically sandwiches, a big summer salad, fruit, and some sides (chips, fresh made slaw or potato salad, etc). Easy. Dinner typically falls on the men to grill. Or we go out or bring in takeout. |
Sounds like the eleven year old felt unwelcome. She picked up on your angry vibe. Needed to get away from you. |
He's still watching carefully for any crumb that hits the ground. Is there a GoFundMe for Winston yet? It's been 6 hours since he last had a full meal. He might not make it. Lord knows OP can't spare a cracker or chip. |
Why are you vacationing with people that you don't like? I can't imagine how it is burdensome to slap together a few additional sandwiches or scramble some more eggs. Because when I travel with people, we all take turns cooking and sharing the burden (as well as the grocery bill). |
We do what pp does; we all get get groceries for the house and people make their own breakfast/lunch/snacks and generally we take turns making dinner (each family does 1 night or something like that). Anyway, it sounds like op really dislikes these kids and that the family was not being considerate. That said, why on earth would you be so strict about snacks? Is it a money issue? It doesn’t seem like a big deal to share snacks with hungry guests and it’s so rude and strange to insist guests byo snacks so they don’t touch yours. How was this even communicated? |
So roll your eyes (rightfully, by the way) and go to the store for more snacks. Life is too short to let this affect you. |
No, you go to the store. I’m on vacation and it’s not my responsibility to feed your family. |
So after a lot of arguing you admitted that people make their own breakfast and lunch and you are cooking for everyone every time. Liar |
The best part about the post is that it's only tangentially related to travel, at best. |
But, they ate all your snacks. So, what now? |
PP will starve to death on principle rather than run to the 7/11 for some Goldfish and salsa and chips. |
You don't go through someone else's food without asking. They could have asked for something to eat.
|
I was an np, I said I do what pp does and we buy a bunch of groceries for the house to use and people mostly make their own meals with the shared food. I’m not sure what you guys were arguing about but I think this is a pretty common way of handling meals on group trips. |
Op is definitely the bacon lady |
