Rain, thunder, and lightning in SE, DC. Nothing scary; seems like a typical storm but it just started.

Per the news, what is hitting Falls CHurch/Arl/DC right now is NOT the main event.

I'm the person you quoted, thanks for the heads up! I'm glad my son thought to walk the dog 2 hours ago.

Don't be. If you get rain before the squall line, it will considerably dampen the second event's impact. Rain now is a good thing to calm down your neck of the woods.

I hope you're right. The pop up rain is over, but it's eerily calm now. It feels unsettling.

Just got really dark here in Arlington.

Very dark in Springfield/Lorton area … very ominous looking. I wonder if they’ll extend the severe thunderstorm warning that’s due to expire at 545.

Yep looks like there’s a severe thunderstorm warning for most of the region until 6:45 now.

We're in Springfield. The wind blew in. And then moved on. It's dark here but not scary anymore.

Pouring cats and dogs in Aspen Hill.

Very windy with fast moving dark clouds in Dupont Circle. Ground looks wet but rain must be a mist/drizzle.
