Not like a regular thunderstorm, but like many of us got hit with last weekend, if not worse. Microbursts, tornadoes possible, many severe storms.
I'm slightly superstitious in that when you post about it... it often ends up not amounting to much. So... fingers crossed, because I know many of us are still dealing with things from last weekend. |
Where? |
The DC Metro area, including extended areas of MD, VA, WV. Is that not obvious on a site called DCUM? |
I’m not superstitious but I do get migraines when barometric pressure drops and or rapid change in weather.
I’m getting migraine and am trying to be proactive now; caffeine, meds and magnesium stat. |
DC and Baltimore are on the edge of that "moderate risk" band. Hopefully it peters out more before it gets to us. |
That’s not how weather systems work. Small areas get impacted severely. |
Huh? Are you drinking? There's no way to pinpoint exact neighborhoods that may have microbursts. The whole greater region is at risk tomorrow. |
From WV to Rehoboth… omg run to your bunkers! |
I needed an excuse to go out for bread and TP!! |
Clearly last weekend's storm wasn't anything for you. You didn't lose power, and no trees fell on your car or house, like they did in DC, Arlington, and Alexandria. Maybe you'll get some of the action this time--keep your fingers crossed! |
I live in a neighborhood with a microburst last weekend and I really don't want to live through another 3 days no power and cleaning out the fridge again. But sure, I'll go get more wine. I can drink through it. ![]() |
I’m in Arlington but OPs message is very obscure. |
Should I get a booster? |
Thanks for the map, 11:27. No one can predict in advance who will get a microburst. All you can do is trim your trees regularly, and not go walking too far away from a building on Monday afternoon/evening. Which for me means timing the dog walks appropriately. |
