I’m getting migraine and am trying to be proactive now; caffeine, meds and magnesium stat.

i have a killer headache all day too, feels like sinus pressure. I wonder if it’s the same thing?

Thanks for the map, 11:27.

No one can predict in advance who will get a microburst. All you can do is trim your trees regularly, and not go walking too far away from a building on Monday afternoon/evening. Which for me means timing the dog walks appropriately.

There were plenty of healthy, pruned trees that snapped, fell over, or were struck by lightning in last weekend's storm. And there were plenty of sick, dead, vine-wrapped trees that stood strong - in fact, I didn't see one of those that snapped or fell. It didn't seem to matter. It really seemed luck of the draw last weekend.

Ugh. I have pink tickets at nats park.

So my evening commute home is going to be miserable and dangerous.

Fun times.

Check out the footage of what it was like at FedEx this evening. DC is just not a good outdoor concert town.

The DC Metro area, including extended areas of MD, VA, WV. Is that not obvious on a site called DCUM?

That’s not how weather systems work. Small areas get impacted severely.

Huh? Are you drinking?

There's no way to pinpoint exact neighborhoods that may have microbursts. The whole greater region is at risk tomorrow.

From WV to Rehoboth… omg run to your bunkers!

Clearly last weekend's storm wasn't anything for you. You didn't lose power, and no trees fell on your car or house, like they did in DC, Arlington, and Alexandria. Maybe you'll get some of the action this time--keep your fingers crossed!

NP. Yep -- there is a house, four houses down from me, bifurcated by a tree in that storm. It's literally crushed in half. So PP better hope it doesn't happen to them.

As opposed to all those other towns where it rains? I love when people act like WEATHER is unique to DC. did you happen to see the footage of the Taylor swift pouring rain concert? She was delayed for hours.

I’m in Arlington but OPs message is very obscure.

NP, how was it obsure? Title of thread is severe weather forecast, and the OP provided some details. If I hadn't known already, that was enough of a clue that perhaps I might want to check a weather forecast. That's about as clear as can be, I'd think?

Are we expected to just have rain today? Does NYC get tornado warnings?

We’ve been upgraded to a worse threat. Not seen in this area rarely, if ever. Fuuuuuuuuuuukk.

Well, I lost one tree last Saturday. Hope the yard and neighborhood stay intact later today.

We really wanted to go, she is so great in concert, but we just could not chance the weather.
