yeah, but runny yolks are good! |
You are my soul sister. We should get breakfast some time, at one of our homes, as I 100% agree about never eating hotel buffet scrambled eggs, or really at any restaurant. |
With the advent of refrigeration, we don't need to overcook eggs either. No idea how they came up with this, but this site suggests that about 2/3 like runny eggs and about 1/3 like hard eggs. This also seems to fit with the response pattern on this thread. https://thecarousel.com/food-drink/healthy/team-hard-team-runny-yolk-says/ When I eat hard boiled eggs, I will eat the whites and toss the yolk ball. Hard egg yolks are only good for egg salad and deviled eggs. Otherwise, they're just for the compost bin. |
LOL - the only part with actual flavor. |
| When I was little we called them dippy eggs because we dipped our toast into the yolks. |
| Salmonella. |
+1! Love ‘em! |

Egg yolf = "nature's condiment", per my husband.
I actually agree - add an egg yolk to everything! We loved when we lived in Europe - you would order pasta carbonara and they would bring the yolk to the table so you could mix it in yourself. My favorite restaurant actually served in in the egg shell. It was delicious!! |

Same. When I'm with someone who's eating something with a runny yolk, I have to avert my eyes. |
Are you from Central PA? |
| I love runny yolks but hate chicken thighs and marbled cuts of beef. To each their own. It’s ok. |
Same. |
| How are you eating poached eggs if you have runny egg yolk aversion? |
It's the videos and photos of oozing yolk over everything. It's just gross. On the rare occasion I get poached eggs, I just quickly eat them as a side item with toast. I don't poke them so the yolk oozes all over my entree. |
