Do you think cotillion is racist?

So, yeah? But more likely in a ignorant or micro-agression or insular bubble way than an overtly racist way. But I am sure there are a few racists in every cotillion class.

OMG. Classic DCUM nuttery.

Oh good grief. No, not in the slightest.

We are an LGBQ family and our child attended his first Cotillion first class with excitement. We were dismayed when the instructor Shelley (who I believe is one of the owners) treated my child with complete disrespect when he asked a simple question, furthermore she muttered a racist remark under her breath that my child indeed heard. It's very possible that this sort of curriculum is as outdated as the owners and instructors themselves. Beware if these old-school ideals and your children when considering JDW Cotillions

If you don’t like it, don’t send your kid, and never think about it again. Problem solved.

If you're normal, it's just something some people like to do. Let and live.

Wait -- what's Jack and Jill? I'm from the Midwest, I don't understand any of this.

There's Jack and Jill in the Midwest. IYKYK.

So you want Wellesley College cancelled too!?

Are you 80 years old and think it's the 1940s?

I am Indian and I am thinking about sending my child to junior cotillion because her manners are atrocious.

Im a super casual, super liberal person, and I credit much of my confidence to cotillion. You have to know the rules like the back of your hand to know where to press to change things.
