Similar. After childbirth my hips would not fit back into a size 2! Was a size 4 for a while but after second kid, plus onset of peri, I generally wear a 6 in most clothes, unless it runs really big or small. |
Np and disagree strongly. 5'4". At 2 I was all bones and looked bad. 4 was great but i'm older now and feel more comfortable in 6. 8 sounds much better than a 0. |
| Yes. |
And body fat percentage. |
NP. I'm 5'4" and 125lbs, fit and hourglass in shape. I'm a 6 in pants, 4/6 in tops, occasionally a 4 in a skirt or dress if it's A-line. I frequently have to get the waist of pants taken in. I have long legs for my height and am shortwaisted, so I can't wear petite pants but often wear petite tops, jackets, and dresses. I don't think I'd fit into a size 0 pant if I weighed 100 lbs. There's bone under these hips, and I'm just not that narrow. |
You do realize that your perspective is from someone who has only ever existed in a 5'2" body, right? 6 is not "heavy" for any height and you are clearly too stupid to understand that the size of the clothing does not correspond to the number on the scale. Body composition varies and determines what you look like and how much you weigh. A woman who is 140 pounds but 30% body fat is going to look very different from a woman who is 140 pounds with 18% body fat. They could both fit into a size 6 and will look entirely different. |
I don’t think an archeologist looking at the bones of two 5’4” women who had a weight difference of 50 pounds would find that much difference in their structure. Petite is about height, not weight. |
The proportion that is actually important for petite, is torso length, not height. Those are the difficult adjustments, hems are easy. A key to fit is underarms hitting at the correct level, waist placement, and rise in pants. A short woman with a long torso should buy regular clothes and have them hemmed. A short woman with a short torso should by petite clothes, and should find the hems pretty close to correct. Who knows if anthropologists care about these distinctions, but there is a physical difference that could be observed. |
Hmm. Im 5'4" with a short torso, and though I often need petite tops, I usually can't wear petite pants. They are too short in both length and rise. The rise is an issue because my torso is short from my waist to my shoulders, whereas from waist to crotch I'm more standard in length. |
| I’m 5’5 and weigh about 126. I usually wear size 8 or a M due to my hips / stomach area. No one would say I’m heavy. If pressed, they would probably say they don’t want to say anything negative about my physical appearance but if they absolutely had to, that I’m thin all over everywhere but perpetually look 4 months pregnant unfortunately even though my youngest is 9. |
| Yes, size 8 is large if you're 5'4" |
No. This is size 12 |
I'm 5'4" and wear a size 8 in pants (6 in shirts/ jackets). I weigh 135 lbs. |
| I’m a bit over 5’2” and weigh 150-5. I wear sizes from 6 to 10, depending on the fit at the hips. Sometimes a generously cut 4. I have a full bust, narrow waist, and very full hips. I have about 15 pounds to lose, but I would not call myself heavy. |
| It’s thick |
