No.
And a size 0 at 5’6” us not too thin. Lots of body sizes and shapes can be healthy. |
Different people are built differently. I am 5'4", when I weighted 125 lbs, I was a solid size 6, occasionally 4 in GAP pants. There is no way I could squeeze into size 2. |
No, 150-160lbs would be a size 12. Size 8 is probably 135ish |
No way! I am 5'4" and 150, that's a size 10-12, a definite L. For JCrew, it would be an XL. How are you people squeezing into clothing??? |
It totally depends on the brand and cut of clothing and the person's frame. When I was 5'3" and 120 as a teen I could wear sizes from 2 (in some crazy vanity sized things) to 12 (in designer clothes), but most often size 4-6. As I filled out, I would generally be sized 6-8, curvy with a flat stomach but muscular build. Very much an hourglass shape. After kids I still wear a lot of my size 8 clothes but I'm a little overweight. |
| It totally depends on frame and muscle mass. I'm 5'5 and look like a chunky, puffy potato head with a FUPA above 120-125 or a size 2 but I have fine bones. Someone more heavy set would not. |
| It really depends on your build. I'm 5-4 around 145 and between 6 and 8 a solid medium. This is the heaviest I've been, mostly gained since turning 45. I think I looked better at 125-130. I looked way too thin at 115. |
+1 |
Interesting! Just shows how different all of our bodies shapes are despite weighing the same. |

I’m 5’4” weigh 132 and a solid 6-8. If you have hips an ass no way you can fit a size 2. I’m 55 years old.
I think you have to say your age as well. Menopause means more padding in the middle. I was a size 2 until I was 40 years old. |
This is me now but I wear a size 6. |
Why do you hate women? |
| I'm 5'4" and 160, and size 12-14. When I weighed 125, I was a size 6. |
Since you don't seem to know that petite is a height indicator not a body type (same as 'tall'), and that plus sizes also come in petite (and tall), you clearly don't understand that size and height and weight are not related in the way you think they are. Also, your size will be based on your largest standard measuring point. Could be the bust, the waist or the hips. A very skinny, light weight person with a large bust might be a "huge vanity size" and need a lot of clothing alterations, as would a fit swimmer with developed shoulders, or a rower with muscular hips and thighs, or a classically hour glass woman. |
And why trying to guess weight based on size or size based on weight is really brainless. |
