Guess you have no boobs.

I am 5'9' and weight 140 and wear a 6. I think something doesn't look right with your height/weight/size

Agree that vanity size 8 is probably heavy. I am 5’3” 125 and vanity size 2, which make no sense to me, because I am not skinny.

That’s one weird image. I don’t know any 00s who look that fat. And they definitely don’t have cankles!!

Anonymous wrote:Yes. I would say 6 and above is heavy for any height. I’m 5-2 and I cycled through these sizes after having a baby while I worked my way back to size 2. My size 6 and 8 jeans were so big compared to my regular clothes. And the 10s! Omg don’t even get me started. I still shudder a little when I see them at the store.

My BMI in a size 8 is underweight. Butt out shortie.

DP and I agree that height makes a difference. Short people have far less room to maneuver. My sister is 5'2" and a size 8 and she is medically overweight, as in her doctor has told her so. I'm 5'4" and looked pretty chubby at my heaviest weight (138 and size 6). I have a friend who is 6" with an average bone structure and she is a size 8 but clearly not overweight.

And I don’t know any size 18/20 who look that lean!

Found the dismorphic!

These are the proportions a garment is sewn to accommodate. The ankle is not slimmed down, so that feet can actually fit through the designed pant leg, etc. A size eight in a given garment type is a body which fits *within* the dressform of that size, for pants hips are the primary constraint, tops it's bust size, sometimes shoulders.

No, 150-160lbs would be a size 12.
Size 8 is probably 135ish

This is exactly what I am. 5'4 140 and I am between a 6-8.

What is your current size and weight? Just curious. I'm also 5'2" and around 123 lbs, size 6. But I don't feel like I look heavy. I look pretty average I think for mid-40s with two kids.

I'm sadly about 20 lbs heavier than my high school weight (which is where my kid is now). But I don't think it would look natural for me to be that skinny anymore at this age.

I fluctuate between 115-123 depending on how I’m living, so normally wear a size 2 or 4 depending.

This.

I’ve been a size 8 at 5’4 basically my entire adult life. I’ve never thought I looked heavy nor has anyone else ever suggested they thought I was.

People are built differently.

I am 5’8” and weigh 140 and wear a 12 in pants.

Again, this is EXTREMELY body dependent. I am 5'4" and 150lbs and mostly a size 6, occasionally an 8. I'm about 10lbs heavier than I'd like to be right now, but can wear the same clothes I wear at 140lbs. I have a muscular frame and broad shoulders.

I am 155 and 6-8. My boobs are huge. I have a tight waist and moderate hips.

I was a solid 12 at 5'4 and 155-160. I probably would have been an 8 at 135-140 (and don't consider that weight very heavy). Currently 115 to 120 and a 2 or 4 and this is the easiest weight for me to maintain without any restricting or overeating since I made some changes to my previous junk food diet. If my maintenance weight was 125 to 135 and a size 6 or 8, that would be fine.

I have no boobs and am just very flat at any weight.
