Errands after dark - am I the only one reconsidering

How nuanced of you. I haven't walked alone in a park like Rock Greek or Archbold Glover, with no sight lines and lots of hiding spots. I've obviously crossed, I don't know, MacPherson Square. But you do you. Enjoy the early morning jog.

It sthe enforcement and punishments within the context of those laws that has changed under progressives. It has made everything worse. Sure, the laws haven't changed much, but the city still let out a teenaged serial killer roam the streets a little while back.

It's enabling lawlessness through lack of justice caused by zero punishment.

13 year plea this week for a guy who drove across town to shoot a father in the face in a residential neighborhood, near a school and in front of his kids.

Multiple witnesses and security video of the murder and a defendant with many, many priors.

I do everything at night and have for 25 years. I have seen things happen to others in front of me - beatings, shootings (3), muggings.

Is this meant to be some kind of...strange brag? You've witnessed beatings, THREE shootings, and muggings "in front of" you but you also announce you do "everything" at night still. If you're doing your nighttime errands in places where you're witnessing these things, you are doing those errands in places and/or at times that are undeniably stupid.

Wow, I'm sorry, PP. If I knew you IRL I'd be helping you scout new places to live, starting ASAP. You shouldn't have to deal with that stress if you have the ability to move elsehwhere. Not everyone has that ability, but if you do, there is no shame in exercising it and moving. Your family members who were DC natives could not have foreseen what you're talking about.
