These statistics are garbage and don’t even support the website’s notion that pit bulls aren’t a threat.

I met a couple of cute ones at a park who looooved me and sat on my shoe, leaned into me, etc. they were puppies. But grown pitt bulls are not cute and could eat you for breakfast. It’s too bad.

All these people defending their pits would just as soon adopt doodles and labs from shelters instead. They're only getting pits because the shelters are full of them.

I would never get a doodle. What a stupid "breed"

NP. I would absolutely support this but there are all sorts of nice things we can't just have in the USA.

It's a real issue that only 20% of dogs are un-neutered/spayed, but 80% of Pits are unaltered. That's...unreal. The people who blindly adopt thinking they are getting some kind of "Lab mix" excepted, Pit breeders and many owners are just trash. Irresponsibility at the highest level. Then they don't treat these dogs well and drop them on the side of the road or in shelters. It's gross.

It’s also an issue that these are the most insane dogs with hair trigger tempers and their owners seem like some of the most bafflingly clueless people. Whale eyes isn’t cute, it’s a warning. Sleeves, sneezing, someone just walking on a public street, a newborn crying - if any of this can trigger your dog into a murderous rage, your dog shouldn’t exist.

The big scar on my arm is from a pitbull that attacked me when I was babysitting (I babysat in other houses with dogs too, this was the only one that attacked me). I've personally experienced that whole "lockjaw" effect on my arm.

Interesting. My Gen x relative and her husband disliked pits and always brought up the lock jaw thing and they always took in small breeds but their daughter who is rebellious drinks faked getting raped and hooks up and only dates black guys her dad dislikes cause he's racist has adopted a pit. Wonder if it's because she's crazy or just rebelling. It is a cute pit but a pit nonetheless.

Wonder why the pit owners are so trashy though? One owners pit attacked our large breed husky pup and lied to dumb azz animal control that our pup attacked his dog who was well known by ac.

I regard pit bull owners the same as I regard those who open carry guns in an airport. The entire purpose of having an unneutered pit bull is to scare and intimidate people. The owners are invariably low IQ sociopaths who seek to menace their communities with a breed of dog that is responsible for the vast majority of deaths and attacks by dogs in this country. And far too often the victims are children. I believe every single pit bull should be sterilized and the entire breed should be allowed to die out. The owners can then use their extra time to perhaps get their GED.

To the do-good liberal couple with the newly adopted pit bull at my neighborhood park —

Please don’t bring your dog to play with the other dogs. Our dogs are mostly doodle or other gentle dogs.

My dog is a little high-strung. I fear he’ll bark in fear of your dog. And while my dog might start it with a bark, I’m afraid your dog will react — by killing him. I don’t want to take that risk, so we will leave when you come.

Also, your dog is ugly. It’s not his fault. But he really shouldn’t exist.

This is false.

I think your doodle isn't as innocent as you think and you shouldn't go to dog parks either.

Then tell all the sweet pitties to stop getting themselves in the news for MAULING & KILLING!

You must have missed all the other dog maulings as well. Humans still are the number 1 killers

My standard poodle hasn’t met a dog he doesn’t love but loses his shiz when he sees this one pit bull in our neighborhood. We sit on our screened porch all the time watching people walking by with no effect but this one dog causes us to have to put him inside every single time.

I was walking my dog (golden) many years ago and we were attacked unprovoked by a pit bull. I am still amazed he did not kill my dog. He had a choke collar on I was able to grab and pull until he couldn’t breathe. We were very lucky.

I hate pit bulls.
