That's encouraging to hear and I love DTSS, but having shootouts during weekday business hours in DTSS is getting really old. |
I think you’re more confused. The two projects I was referring to is founders row and the west economic development project (next to high school). The construction by Applebees is the whole foods I mentioned. Founder Row II (where riteaid used to be) is approved, so will happen, you are correct on that one. The rest of the potential developments you mentioned are either not in FCC or have not been approved and are still in early stages. Do your homework. |
“Getting old”? How often do you think that happens? And funny how you didn’t mention the more recent shooting in Chevy Chase, hm? CHEVY CHASE, MD — Montgomery County Police are investigating a shooting that injured two people inside Clyde’s of Chevy Chase on Wisconsin Avenue early Monday morning. https://patch.com/maryland/bethesda-chevychase/amp/31029796/shooting-at-clydes-of-chevy-chase-injures-2-people-police |
Probably that too. I get it. Home prices have gone crazy here, but that is a sign that the areas are on the rise, not declining (of course). |
They’re branding us as NaLa now .. all too similar to NoMa. It’s not working either way. |
| Bethesda going to tank by the year 2040. |
| God this website is so predictable. Say what you mean OP: 'which neighborhoods will see increase in demographic and economic diversity'? Keep clutching those pearls dcurbanmom. |
Ten years from when there’s an Hispanic majority in the US. No one will care about charm or topiary. |
Yeah, Georgetown wishes it had opted in to the Metro. Gets you new restaurants and developments. |
What a broad and useless offering. |
Or maybe people are just pessimistic and easily swayed by local news that over-emphasizes crime. |
Same for Old Town Alexandria. They plunked the Metro at the edges of Old Town and that is where a lot of development is now occurring |
I have lived in Arlington since graduating from college in 2001. I have never seen so many crime reports or even experienced crime. We have had stolen bikes, catalytic converters, cars broken into, garages broken into, houses burgled, and some jerk who tipped over trash cans. We have had things stolen from our yard and were told to make an online report. The police are too overwhelmed to respond to petty crimes. |
And crime is almost insignificant in DC today compared to 20+ years ago. |
That's a myth. Georgetown never had that option.6 |
